CLOVIS, N.M. - James E. "Jim" Griffin, 75, died Monday, June 27, 2005. Services will be at 10 a.m. today in The Chapel with the Rev. Dean Turvaville officiating. Burial will be in Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens by Muffley Funeral Home. Mr. Griffin was born July 22, 1929, in Stamford, Texas. He was a circulation manager and later became publisher for the Clovis News Journal, where he retired after 30 years in 1990. Survivors include his wife, Faunette; a son, Brooks Griffin of Plano, Texas; two daughters, Mary Afsharirad of Allen, Texas, Raynette Keith Barker of Clovis; and six grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to Elks National Foundation in care of the Clovis/Portales Elks Lodge No. 1244, P.O. Box 191, Clovis, NM 88102.
