Funeral services for O R Longley, former resident, who died at his home Monday were held Wednesday afternoon with burial in Greenlawn cemetery. He is a brother of M A Longley, Lowell. Surviving are his widow, three sons and one daughter.

ADA - Memorial services for Gerald Olton Philpot, 78, Ada, are 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Luke's Episcopal Church, the Rev. John D. Norvell will officiate. Mr. Philpot died Friday, Sept. 28, 2007, at his home. He was born Jan. 28, 1929, at Oklahoma City to Barney J. and Veulah "Polly" Meeks Philpot. He came to Ada as an infant. He attended Ada schools and graduated from Ada High School. Mr. Philpot was the owner and operator of a construction company, working on state highways, streets and parking lots for more than 40 years. He retired in 1982. He was instrumental in providing the Philpot Track at Norris Field and the initial construction of the Parish Hall at St. Luke's Episcopal Church where he was a member. He married Beth Ward Dec. 26, 1971. Survivors include his wife, Beth Philpot, of the home; a stepdaughter, Kelly Ebeling and husband David Howard, Healdsburg, Calif.; two grandsons, Clay and Will Howard; three brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Sid and Flo Ward, Moore, Steve and Maris Ward, Alva, and Terry and Diana Ward, Oklahoma City. The family says those who wish may make memorials to the Building Fund at St. Luke's Episcopal Church, P. O. Box B, Ada, OK 74821. Criswell Funeral Home, Ada
