Edward Eugene Patterson, 63, of Broad Street, Clinton, died Monday
at his home after a long illness. Services will be at 7:30 pm
Friday at Martin Clinton Funeral Home Chapel with Roy Vickery
conducting the ceremony. Burial will be at 11 am Saturday at Black
Oak Baptist Cemetery with full military honors by the Volunteer
State Honor Guard. The family will receive friends 6 to 7:30 pm
Friday. Mr. Patterson was born Aug. 10, 1930, to the late Samuel
Hall Patterson and Sarah Vida Wilson. Several years ago he had
worked as a cook in Detroit, Mich. He was a Protestant. Mr.
Patterson served with the Army during the Korean War. Survivors
include a brother, Samuel Patterson; a sister, Mary Bell Patterson
Harvey and husband, John W. Harvey; three nephews; a niece; and
special friend Nola Matchett, all of Clinton.

Mrs. Nida Longley
EXETER, Tulare Co., Dec. 31 - Funeral services for Mrs. Nida M.
Longley, 66, will be held Thursday at 2 PM in the Hadley Chapel
in Exeter. Rev. Cecil W. Johnson will officiate and burial will
be in the Exeter Cemeter. Mrs. Longley, a native of Tennessee,
died yesterday in her home, 549 South Kaweah Street, Exeter. She
moved to California and Exeter 32 years ago. She was a member of
the Exeter Baptist Church. Surviving are her husband, B. B. Longley,
former market and furniture store operator and city councilman; one
daughter, Ina Sparks of Fresno; two brothers, William and Rex Lewis
of Tennessee; two sisters, Mrs. Anna Johnson and Mrs. Lula Vicaro
both of Tennessee and two grandsons.

Patricia Ann "Patty" Queen Brooks, 50, of Sedro Woolley, Wash., died Saturday,
July 12, 2003, after a brief illness. Graveside services were held Wednesday,
July 16, in Lyman Cemetery under the direction of Lemely Funeral Home. She was
the granddaughter of the late Herburt and Nora Queen Young. She was preceded in
death by her father, Troy Queen; and one brother, Alfred Queen. Surviving are her
mother, Jean Young Queen of Sedro Woolley, Wash.; her husband, Richard Brooks;
one daughter, Jessica Brooks; one son, Jason Brooks; one brother, Bruce Queen of
Sedro Woolley; and three grandsons.
