CHARLES KINKADE
Long Illness Lends to Death of 78-year-old Man. Nelsvonville, Dec 1. -- Charles R. Kinkade, 78, died this morning at the home of his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Finsterwald, 435 Poplar Street, after a long illness. Besides the daughter he is survived by a son, Smith Kinkade, Gordon, W.Va., and a sister, Miss Minnie Kinkade, Plymouth, Mich. He was a veteran of of the Spanish-American War. Arrangements for the funeral have not been completed.

DEAD WAR VETERAN IS FORMER CHAUNCEY MAN Charles Kinkade Brother-in-Law of Chauncey Woman CHAUNCEY, Dec. 2. - Charles Kinkade aged 78, war veteran who died Tuesday at the home of his daughter Mrs. Finsterwald in Nelsonville was a brother-in-law of Mrs. Allie Kinkade, of Chauncey and a brother of the late Phillip Kinkade who was killed in a mine accident at Sugar Creek, 5 years ago. The Kinkade home for years was on the old Fuller farm North of Chauncey where the Russell dance hall is now located. Mr. Kinkade is survived by a daughter and son and sister, Miss Minnie Kinkade, Plymouth, Mich., a nurse, who visited in this section last summer.

Impressive Military Funeral is Conducted for Nelsonville Man.
Spanish-American Veterans Pay Respects to Charles Kinkade
Nelsonville, Dec. 5 -- An impressive military funeral was held for Charles Robert Kinkade at the Presbyterian Church Thursday afternoon. Spanish-American War Veterans attended the funeral in a body. A firing squad was furnished by the Glenford Dugan Post of the American Legion, while the bugle call was played by and Athens and by a Nelsonville bugler. The Rev. Lloyd Evans preached the funeral services. A hymn, Tennyson's "Crossing the Bar" and a poem, written by Mrs. Kinkade, were read. Burial was made at Greenlawn. Mr. Kinkade was a well-known Nelsonville resident for many years. He was a brother of Phil Kinkade, former Nelsonville Chief of Police.
Relatives from out of town who attended the funeral included Mrs. Elizabeth Phillips and Mrs. Alice Kinkade, Glouster; Smith Kinkade, Gordon, W. Va., and Minnie Kinkade, Detroit, Mich.
