Paul Eugene Turvaville, 61, of Alvord died Thursday, March 20, 2008, in Alvord. The family was to receive friends from 3-6 p.m. Saturday, March 22 at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home in Decatur. Born Jan. 7, 1947, in Quanah to Paul E. and Elizabeth Matthews Turvaville, he married Sharon Ruth Baker June 22, 2002. He worked for Lockheed Martin of Fort Worth for more than 35 years. He served in the U.S. Army from 1965-1966, received the national Defense Service Medal for Marksmanship. He was a member of the Crafton and Alvord Volunteer Fire Departments and a Master Mason of the Riverside Lodge No. 1194. He is survived by his wife; sons, Mike Turvaville and wife, Donya, of Keller and Jacob Turvaville of Alvord; daughters, Cheryl Almond and husband, Ben, of Watauga, Paula Turvaville of Bridgeport and Chrystal Rider and husband, Cale, of Chico; brother, Raymond Turvaville and wife, Janice, of Chillicothe; sister, Doris McBeth and husband, Marc, of Lubbock; and eight grandchildren. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Association, Wise County Unit, P.O. Box 428, Decatur, TX 76234.
