Miss Mabel E. Watts, 63, Conesville, a former school teacher, died at 1:20 a.m. today in a Guernsey County hospital following a long illness. Born Sept. 19, 1905, in Adams Mills, she was a daughter of Edward H and Sue Tilton Watts. Miss Watts attended Conesville and Coshocton high schools, Kent State University and Muskingum College. For 39 years she taught in the Coshocton County School System. For 25 years and until she retired in 1962, she taught the first grade in Conesville Elementary School. She was a member of Conesville Methodist Church, Delta Kappa Gamma Sorority and various teacher organizations in the city, county and state. She was also active in religious and civic affairs. Surviving are a brother, Edward Watts of Conesville and several nieces and nephews. A brother is deceased. Services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Dawson Funeral Home by Rev. John W. Wright and Rev. Frank Spencer. Burial will be in South Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday.
