Occupation: worked for the Railroad
Father: George Washington Longley
Mother: Margaret Richardson
Notes:
Joseph and Cora are both buried in Bristow, Creek Co., Oklahoma.
But I don't know which cemetery or where. Dad attended the funerals
and remembered both in the same cemetery, but couldn't remember where
the cemetery was. Joseph
was a teamster for the railroad and helped to survey a line through
Oxford Kansas. The 1900 census has him and his young family living in
tent near other RR employees/laborers - also in tents.
Family legend is that he died of a heart attack in a house of
ill-repute.

Naamon enlisted in H Co 51st infantry in 1862 and was discharged in

service in D Co 54th Infantry and he listed his length of service
from 1862-1865. His friend Henry Slusher started D Co 54th Inf, but
resigned in Jan 1862 and re-enlisted as a private in H Co 51st Inf.
Later in 1862, Co D 54th was plagued with dissent and eventually the
entire company deserted en masse. Either Naamon never served in the

took the oath at Ft Delaware to never bear arms against his country
again and was released from prison. He returned home to his wife
