78, of Cromwell died yesterday at home. The Fort Wayne native owned a trucking company in Fort Wayne 1948-1957, and Bowlway Lanes in Ligonier 1957-1974. Surviving are his wife, Patty; daughter, Julie Courtney of Orlando, Fla.; sons, Dennis of Chicago and Gary of Fort Wayne; stepdaughters, Marsha Thompson of Cromwell and Kathlene Lonski of Seattle; stepsons, Warren Halsey and Daniel Halsey, both of Ligonier; brothers, Kenneth of Columbia City and Robert of Fort Wayne; two grandchildren; six stepgrandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Services are 10 a.m. Wednesday in Orr Funeral Home, Ligonier, where calling is 2 to 8 p.m. tomorrow. Burial will be in Sparta Cemetery, Kimmell. Preferred memorials are gifts to the Junior Bowling League or Compre-Care of Noble County.
