Glenn Eugene Rambo, 42, of Athens Route 5, former Zanesville resident
died at 12:55 p.m. Monday (Aug 5) in Bethesda Hospital where he had
been a patient for 16 weeks. Born Dec 30, 1925, in South Zanesville,
he was a son of Herbert and Della May Freeman of Jackson road, Route
8 and had lived in Athens for the past five years. Mr. Rambo was a
patient at Athens State Hospital and had been a member of the
Jehovah's Witness church in Athens. Surviving in addition to his
parents are his wife, the former Esther Collins of Logan and a
daughter Darla Kay of Logan. A son died in 1952. His brother also
preceded him in death. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and from 7 to 9
p.m. today at the Putnam Chapel of Bolin Funeral Home. Services will
be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with John Kocher
officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Colorado City - Funeral plans for A.C. Putman, 53, will be announced
by Kiker and Son Funeral Home. Mr. Putman, a farmer, died at
10 p.m. Tuesday in his home northwest of Colorado City after an
apparent heart attack. Born in Henderson County May 1, 1915, he
came to Mitchell County in 1928. He married Ruby Self in Colorady
City in 1939. Mr. Putman was a member of the First Assembly of God
Church. Survivors include his wife; one son, Jerry C of Westbrook;
four daughters, Mrs. Wayne Pruett and Miss Carolyn Putman, both of
Colorado City, Mrs. Jimmy Brown of Colorado Springs, Colo, and Miss
Junie Putman of Phoenix, Ariz.; four sisters, Mrs. O. L. Ashinhurst
of Sand Springs, Mrs. R. A. Gillman and Mrs. Tommy Dabbs, both of
Abilene, and Mrs. Norman McMahan of Westbrook, and two grandchildren.
