Linden Ave. Woman Dies in Rest Home
Mrs. May Bell Savage, 79, of 2357 Linden avenue, died Monday at 12:45 p.m. at the Belle Wells rest home where she had been a patient since Dec. 28. Previous to that time she had been a patient at Bethesda hospital since Dec. 1. Mrs. Savage was born July 3, 1878 in Hoskinsville in Noble county, the daughter of Lafayette and Hannah Tredway DeLaGrange. Her husband preceded her in death in 1937. Surviving are one sister, Mrs. Stella Henry of Endicott, N.Y., and several neices and nephews. The body is at the Forrest avenue chapel of the Bolin-Bryan funeral home where friends may call after 6 p.m. Tuesday. Arrangements are incomplete.

Miss Katie Ferrell, 65, of Zanesville Route 5 died at 9 p.m. Monday at her home following a six-year illness. She was seriously ill for the past week. She was born in Muskingum Township on Nov. 2, 1895, the daughter of Lemert and Cora Plummer Ferrell, and was a lifelong resident of the county. She was a member of the Adamsville Methodist Church. Surviving are one sister, Miss Ethel Ferrell of the home, two brothers, Richard of Dresden Route 2 and Raymond of Zanesville Route 8, and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Shirer and Son Funeral Home at Adamsville with the Rev. George Willyard officiating. Burial will be in the Dresden Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. today.
