Cedar City - Rue Tyler, Age 89, passed away April 20, 2007. He was born December 19, 1917 in Douglas, AZ to James and Leona Tyler. Rue served honorably in World War II. He married Olive Nelson who passed away in 1981. He later married Maxine Oyos in 1996. He is survived by his wife Maxine, son Jim, and daughter Alix Choate, several grandchildren and one great grandson. Graveside services will be held Tuesday at 11:00 AM, April 24, 2007 in the Cedar City Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Swindlehurst Funeral Home. MRS ELIZA SAVAGE DIES IN HOSPITAL
The death of Mrs. Eliza Savage, aged 71 years, widow of George Savage of 202 Jefferson street, occurrred at 12:05 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at Bethesda hospital, following a lingering illness from infirmities. Surviving Mrs. Savage are two daughters, Mrs. Thomas Conoway of Crooksville and Mrs. H. E. Blackburn, of Swift, and one son, Orla Savage of McLuney. The body was taken to the Cannon & Cannon funeral home in Crooksville to remain pending funeral arrangements.

Funeral rites for Mrs. J. A. Bowman, life-long resident of Taylor county who died yesterday, will be held from the Baptist church at Cedar Gap, this afternoon at 2 o'clock. Mrs. Bowman, 54, years of age, succumbed at a local sanitarium at 12:30 p.m. She entered the hospital Thursday and underwent major surgery. Ada E. Dotson was born in Erath county and was brought to Taylor county by her parents, Mr and Mrs. C. Dotson, when she was three weeks old. She was married to J. A. Bowman 36 years ago and when as a bride to the Cedar Gap farm where she had resided continuously since. Besides her husband she is survived by three sons, Jerry and Terry Bowman of Potosi and Hero Bowman of Cedar Gap and three daughters, Mr. J. W. Adkinson of Tuscola, and Vada and Nannie Bowman of Cedar Gap. Mrs. Bowman was a member of the Church of Christ. Burial will be made at Cedar Gap under direction of the Laughter Funeral Home. Mrs. Terry Bowman, daughter-in-law of Mrs. J. A. Bowman, was seriously ill in a sanitarium here last night. She is the mother of an infant son, born Friday noon.
