EARL D. YOUNG DIES AT 76; OFFICIAL OF HULL POTTERY CO.
Earl D. Young, 76, of Crooksville, secretary - treasurer and member of the board of directors of the Hull Pottery in Crooksville died at 9:30 a.m. Saturday (April 26) in Bethesda Hospital following a brief illness. Mr. Young had worked at the pottery for 60 years and was a member of the Elks Lodge in New Lexington and the Eagles Lodge in Crooksville. Born May 8, 1892, in Crooksville, he was a son of J.D. and Minnie Watts Young and attended the New Hope United Methodist Church. Surviving are his widow, the former Wilma Hoops; one daughter Mrs. Vernadelle Fauley of Roseville; two sons, Ronald J., of Crooksville and Robert of Roseville; one sister, Leanice Cooper of Crooksville; six grandchildren and one great grandchild. His parents; his first wife, the former Inez Dupler; and one son preceded him in death. Friends may call after 10 a.m. today at the Fred L. Cannon and Sons Funeral Home in Crooksville. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with Rev. William Alvey officiating. Burial will be in Crooksville Cemetery.

Graveside services for Anna Loehr, 89, were held Tues. Feb. 4 (1992) at Moon Cemetery, Macksburg, with the Rev. Bob Epperson officiating. She died of a heart ailment February 1 at Bethesda Care Center where she was a resident. A Madison County resident for most of her life, she was born to Daniel M. and Mary (Trautwein) Loehr on October 15, 1902. She was a country school teacher. She was preceded in death by two brothers. Surviving are a sister, Earnstein Grace of Denver, Colo.; a sister-in-law, Katharine Loehr of Lorimor and several nieces and nephews. Collins Funeral Home, Winterset, handled arrangements.
