Glen J. Hargrove, 68, of Brushie Prairie passed away Thursday, Sept. 30, 1999, in Corsicana. Services will be 2 p.m. today at Frost Baptist Church, with the Rev. Joe Dowdey and the Rev. Leroy Wilde officiating. Interment will follow at the Hargrove family cemetery in Brushie Prairie. Pallbearers will be Tony Hargrove, James Montgomery, Leon Montgomery, Rusty Perry, Clay Reynolds and Eddie Trompler. Honorary pallbearers will be Erselle Crawford, Leon Crawford, Alan Hargrove and Joe Parum. Mr. Hargrove was born June 2, 1931 in Dawson. He was a member of Frost Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Hargrove and Maudie (Yates) Hargrove; and sister, Tressie Lee Montgomery. Mr. Hargrove is survived by his wife, Mildred Hargrove of Brushie Prairie; daughters, Sandy Brown and Stephanie Reynolds, both of Brushie Prairie; son, Rip Hargrove of Frost; brothers, Billy Hargrove of Frost and Bud Hargrove of Zella, Wash.; sister, Edna Montgomery of Brushie Prairie; grandchildren, Chasity, Rachel, Casey, Leslie, Matthew, Ashley, Colby Glen, Emily and Natalie; and great-grandchildren, Brooke, Tristan and Samuel. Arrangements by Corley Funeral Home.

Services for Rev. Harold Gene "Pete" Howard will be held Thursday, April 19, 2007 at 10:30 am at Harvest Time Assembly of God Church. Rev. Howard passed away April 16, 2007 at Wilson N. Jones Medical Center. Pastor Irby McKnight will officiate. Arrangements are under the direction of Waldo Funeral Home. Burial will follow at West Hill Cemetery. Pete was born February 9, 1930 in Plainview, TX to Otto and Noreen Sirkel Howard. He married Eloise Parker March 27, 1982 in Pilot Point, TX. Pete worked as a security guard from 1997-2005 after retiring from the ministry. He loved working on and teaching about computers. He has been an Ombudsman for the past two years. He is survived by his wife Eloise; sons Tommy Howard of Lufkin, TX and Michael Howard and wife Carolyn of Pottsboro, TX; daughters Diane Ponton of Missouri City, TX, Cozetta Finley and husband Alan of Texarkana, TX and Doris Patterson of Savoy, TX; 15 Grandchildren; 11 Great-Grandchildren; brother Rev. Fred Howard and wife Velvie of Sallisaw, OK; sisters Nelle Harris and Martha West and husband Jesse all of Sherman, TX; also several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife Helen Ingram, second wife Nevalene Pace; brother-in-law Ed Harris and stepson Chuck Honeycutt. Family night will be Wednesday, April 18, 2007 from 6:00-8:00 pm at Waldo Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Frankie Howard, Steve Howard, Kevin Howard, Jeremy Patterson, Chris Finley and Michael Honeycutt.

Mrs. Julia Ingram, 90, Texas Native, Passes
Whitewright, Texas, Feb 22. - Funeral services were held at the Crossroads Presbyterian Chruch in the Desert community south of Whitewright, for Mrs. Julia Ann Fletcher Ingram, 90, who was born in the Orangeville community southeast of here. She died Thursday night at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Hubert Lewis, Kingston, near Greenville. Burial was in the Crossroads Cemetery. Mrs. Ingram was born at Orangeville. She was married to Richard Ingram in 1872. He died in 1897. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Lewis, and a son, Press Ingram of the Desert community; five grandchildren, twenty-four great grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.
