Erle Martin Litten Age 87, of Bloomington, died Sunday November 7, 2004 at his residence. Born July 24, 1917 in Ellettsville, Indiana, he was the son of William Elmer and Goldie (Melick) Litten. He worked both as an accountant and also as a business owner. He was a member of the Scottish Rite, the Lynhurst Masonic Lodge, the Shriner's, the Sheriffs Association of Indianapolis and the American Legion Post 18. He was a veteran of the Army Air Corps serving during World War II. He is survived by his wife, Olive Litten of Bloomington; two daughters, Katherine Alice Mann and husband Thomas of Rockford, Illinois, and Dr. Carol Litten Touloukian and husband Dr. James Touloukian of Bloomington; one son, C. Scott Litten of Arlington, Virginia; one stepson, David Dyer and wife Betty of Greenwood, IN, two step-daughters Judith Pettigrew and husband Gordon of Indianapolis and Kay Sink and husband Jimmy of Orange City, Florida; one sister, Inez Waddell and husband Dr. Clayton Waddell of Clinton, Mississippi and one brother, Rex Litten of Olympia, Washington; seven grandchildren, Trent Michael Mann, Mark Mann, Koren Litten Martin, Andrew Litten, Emily Touloukian, Paul Touloukian and Edward Touloukian; one great grandchild, Addison Mann; nine step grandchildren and several step great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Eleanor (Mosier) Litten on March 14, 1987; two sisters, Jane Rogan and Barbara Wood; and two brothers, Thomas Lee Litten and Paul Litten. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. November 10 in Allen Funeral Home, with the Rev. John VanderZee officiating. Visitation is from 12 p.m. until service, in the funeral home, on Wednesday. Interment will follow in Methodist Cemetery, Ellettsville. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Bloomington Hospital co Allen Funeral Home, 3000 E. 3rd St., Bloomington, IN 47401.
