DESLOGE, THEODORE P., passed away after a long illness at the age of 88 years at Vero Beach, Florida. He was born in St. Louis, MO on September 15, 1914. He was a longtime resident of John's Island and a former resident of St. Louis, Missouri. He is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years, Frances Charlot Desloge; dear father of Theodore P. Desloge, Jr. (Linda) and the late Rebecca Allen Desloge; grandfather of Michelle C. Desloge and Renee Desloge Nelson (Brett); son of the late Firmin V. and Rebecca Desloge; brother of the late William L. Desloge and Firmin Desloge III; uncle of Durie Desloge Bullock, Loriel Desloge Hogan, William L. Desloge, Jr., Diane Desloge Clarke, Stephen R. Desloge, Christopher D. Desloge and the late David H. Desloge and a good friend to many. Mr. Desloge was President of Premier Film and Recording Corporation. He attended Williams College and was active in the American Cancer Society and was a member of the St. Louis Country Club. Funeral services will be conducted at the LUPTON Chapel, St. Louis, MO. In lieu of flowers, memorials appreciated to American Heart Association, 4643 Lindell Blvd., St. Louis, MO 63108, or to the charity of one's choice.

William Livingston Desloge, a retired business executive and civic leader, died Tuesday (May 26, 1998) at St. Luke's Hospital in Chesterfield after a long illness. He was 86 and lived in Ladue. For more than 20 years, Mr. Desloge was president of the Grimm Stamp & Badge Co., a manufacturer of traffic and industrial signs. He bought the business in 1947 and sold it and retired in the early 1970s. Mr. Desloge was born in Bonne Terre, Mo. He attended St. Louis Country Day School and John Burroughs School. He earned a bachelor's degree from Williams College in Williamstown, Mass. He had careers in banking, investments, electrical manufacturing and the aircraft industry as well as the sign company. Mr. Desloge was a board member of the Central Institute of the Deaf and served as a past president, director and on the executive committee of the Missouri Historical Society. He was a former member of the Neighborhood Association, a United Way agency. He also was a past president of the Racquet Club of St. Louis and a member of the Nantucket Yacht Club. Mr. Desloge was the grandson of Firmin Desloge II, who made a fortune in lead mining in Missouri and helped fund Firmin Desloge Hospital, now St. Louis University Hospital. The hospital had been named for his grandfather. The funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at Annunziata Catholic Church, 925 Cella Road, Ladue. Burial will be private. Among the survivors are his wife of more than 60 years, Loriel Johnson Desloge; two daughters, Loriel D. Hogan of Creve Coeur and Diane D. Clarke of Hingham, Mass.; three sons, William L. Desloge Jr. of Brasov, Romania, Stephen R. Desloge of Wilton, Conn., and Christopher D. Desloge of Darien, Conn.; a brother, Theodore P. Desloge of Vero Beach, Fla.; 13 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Memorial contributions may be made to the Missouri Historical Society, the Central Institute for the Deaf or to a charity of the donor's choice.

John Dane Devore, 47. We are celebrating the life of John Dane Devore. He passed away on April 29, 2005 doing what he loved most, fishing at Bartlett Lake. He is survived by his love of 19 years Patty, as well as his Grandmother Evelyn, his two sons John David and Mike, three stepdaughters Kathy, Laura and Rachel and two grandaughters. He is also survived by his siblings Mona, Bob and Connie. Including several more family and friends that deeply loved him. John is preceded in death by his parent's Aaron Devore and Ramona Matthews. John's hobbies included Auto and Horse Racing, fishing and spending time with his grandaughter Maia. He was a long time employee and good friend of Mike and Cheryl Gibson of Guarantee Auto. John will be remembered as a great person to be around and always had a way to make everyone smile. We will always love and miss you Big John (sweetheart, daddy, brother, friend and papa). Services will be held at Harper Funeral Home 1242 E. Jefferson Phx, AZ Saturday May 7th at 10:00 am.

Raymond Diehl, 74, of 1239 Seborn avenue died at 8:36 p.m. Tuesday (Feb. 3) following a heart attack suffered at home. He was dead on arrival at Bethesda Hospital. Born in Zanesville, Nov. 14, 1895, he was a son of George and Elizabeth Diehl. He is a retired mold maker for the old Continental Can Co. in Zanesville, retiring in 1961. He was a member of Masonic Lodge, Amity 5, and Local 121 of AFGWU. Surviving are his widow, Geneva Phillips Diehl; two sons, Raymond Jr. of Mount Vernon and Russell of Newark; a daughter, Mrs. Eleanor Wisecarver in Japan, and eight grandchildren. A brother and a sister preceded him in death. The body was taken to Blue Avenue Chapel of Bolin Funeral Home where friends may call 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday.

Francis Edward Dimond, youngest child of J.W. and Nora Dimond, was born January 30, 1906 in Hawkeye Township, Osborne County, Kansas, south of Gaylord. He passed peacefully away in his sleep October 10, 1971, at the age of 65 years, eight months and 11 days at his home at 6027 S. Morril Avenue, Whittier, California. The family moved to California in 1939. He had been a long time employee with Dresser Industries. He was united in marriage to Isabel Watts in 1924. She passed away April 30, 1965. He has lived alone in his home near his daughter who kept in touch with him each day. Although in poor health, he was able to carry on with light work. To this union three children were born, Duane G., Dallas, Texas; Wilma I. Tolliver, Whittier, California'and Dale E., Whittier, California. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, a sister Gertrude and a brother Robert. He leaves to mourn his passing the three children, two daughters-in-law; and one son-in-law; five grand children, a sister, Edith Howell of Whittier, and two brothers, Roy and Wid of Osborne. Funeral services were held in Hillside Church on October 12, at 1:00 p.m. with Dr. Donald E. Reiter officiating. He was laid to rest beside his wife in Rose Hills Memorial park in Whittier, California.

DIXON, GERALD JUDSON - age 80, passed away Wednesday, May 22, 2002. He was born November 16, 1921, in Winters, Texas. He graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in March, 1944, with a B. S. degree in chemical engineering. He worked on the Manhattan Project at Columbia University in New York City and at Oak Ridge, Tenn. Mr. Dixon continued working at the Oak Ridge National Lab for Union Carbide and its successor, Martin Marietta Energy Systems, until his retirement in 1986. He loved to fish, garden, and play bridge. Late in life, he developed a rare neurological disorder, Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP). He faced this disease with courage, never complaining of his illness. Even with developing disabilities, he was able to play bridge until a few weeks ago. He is preceded in death by his parents, Dr. J. W. and Elizabeth Longley Dixon, a son, Douglas O'Hara Dixon, and a sister-in-law, Yvonne Dixon. Mr. Dixon is survived by his wife of 55 years, Carolyn O'Hara Dixon; daughter and son-in-law, Donna R. and Donald T. Sokol, and granddaughter, Jessie Elisse Sokol, all of Farragut, Tenn.; brothers, Dr. J. W. Dixon and wife, Lenora of Waco, Texas, Henry L. Dixon and wife, Jeannette of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, and identical twin brother, Harold Winston Dixon of Dickinson, Texas. Mr. Dixon is at Highland West Funeral Home, 9913 Sherrill Lane, where the family will receive friends from 10:30-11:00 a.m. Saturday. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Vernon F. Holstad officiating. Burial will follow in the Highland West Cemetery. Winters - Funeral for Dr. J. W. Dixon Sr., 83, longtime Runnels County physician, will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at the First Baptist Chruch here. Officiating will be the pastor, the Rev. B. T. Shoemake. He will be assisted by the Rev. W. T. Hamur of Abilene. Burial will be in Fairview Cemeter under direction of Spill Funeral Home. He died in Winters Municipa hospital. He was hospitalized Dec. 18. He was born July 13, 1879, in Viola, Ark., and moved to Winters from Wingate in 1921. Dr. Dixon retired a few years ago. His wife, the former Mary Elizabeth Longley, died in October of 1962. Dr. Dixon was a member of the Winters Masonic Lodge, a charter member of the Winters Lions Club, member of the board of directors of the Winters State Bank and a past president of the Chamber of Commerce. Survivors include four sons, Henry of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, Dr. J. W. Fr. of Waco, Harold of Dickinson and Gerald of Concord, Tenn; 8 grandchildren; two halfsisters, Mrs. Oscar Robinson of Long Long Beach, Calif., and Mrs. Floyd Morrison of Greer. The Baylor University community is mourning the loss of two former department chairs who recently died. Funeral services for James William Dixon Jr., former geology professor and chair of the geology department, were held Monday. Dixon died Wednesday. He was 91. Darden Powers, a physics professor and former chair of the physics department, died Thursday. He was 72. Funeral services were held Saturday. Dixon retired as chair of the geology department in 1977. He received his bachelor's and masters degree's from Baylor and returned to teach for 36 years. Powers came to Baylor as a professor in 1961. He was instrumental in developing Baylor as a research facility and developing the physics Ph.D. program. He served as the director of graduate studies from 1976 to 1993. "He was probably the most important person in establishing that," said physics professor Walter Wilcox, who had known Powers 19 years. Powers was the chair of the physics department from 1993 to 2003. He directed the Van der Graaf laboratory at the school, where he studied low-energy physics, Wilcox said. Physics professor Greg Benesh said Powers was "one of the pillars of the department." Wilcox described Powers as a "tremendously hard worker," who taught classes until last semester, when he took a medical leave of absence. WINTERS (RNS) - Mrs. J. W. Dixon, wife of pioneer Winters doctor, died at 9:25 p.m. Tuesday at her home here. She had been in ill health for some time. The former Mary Elizabeth Longley, she was married to J. W. Dixon at Bovina in 1910. They moved to Wingate in 1911, where Dr. Dixon practiced for 10 years before moving to Winters in 1921.

Visitation is 4-8 p.m. today at Fry Funeral Home, Tipton, with a parish vigil service at 7:30 p.m. Mrs. Doering died Saturday, Oct. 23, 1999, at Mercy Hospital, Iowa City, after an extended illness. Doris Longley was born May 15, 1921, in St. Cloud, Minn., to Louis Arthur and Martha Veronica (Hirschfeldt) Longley. She married Richard Harold Doering on Oct. 17, 1942, at St. Paul the Apostle Church, Davenport. He died June 20, 1994. She graduated from Immaculate Conception Academy, Davenport, in 1939. She was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Tipton, St. Theresa Circle, had been a board member for Meals on Wheels, since 1973, a charter member of D.O.E.S. 217, Davenport, and a sustaining member of T.T.T. A memorial fund has been established in Doris' memory for the Davenport Assumption High School or St. Mary's Catholic Church, Tipton, and may be mailed to 1495 240th St., Tipton, IA, 52772. Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Sue Fournier and Harlan, Silvis, Ill., Ann Farnell and Ron, Jacksonville, Fla., and Beth Oldham and David, Tipton; and a brother and sister-in-law, Robert Longley and Maryann, Venice, Fla. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Martha Longley, and a son, Richard Doering Jr. Pall bearers are Don Lynch, Oscar Wilson, Don Kallenberger, Mick Ryan, Elmer Kunde and Bryce Werling. SAINT JO - Louise S. Donnell, a resident of Saint Jo for more than 75 years, died Thursday at a Muenster hospital. She was 83. Graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Mountain Park Cemetery in Saint Jo. McCoy Funeral Home in Saint Jo is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Donnell was born in Livingston, Pa. She had operated a movie theater in Saint Jo for several years. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Saint Jo and was a former member of the Garden Club. He was a doctor of veterinary medicine and was owner of the Westside Animal Clinic in Hudson. He was a graduate of Texas A&M University and was a member of the Texas A&M Alumni. Carlyle was a member of the Central Church of Christ in Lufkin. Dr. Gladys Longley Dotson, 86, of Maryville, died on April 14, 2008 in a Knoxville hospital. Born near Apison, Tn., she was the daughter of George and Elsie Tallant Longley. A graduate of Carson-Newman College, Golden Gate Baptist Seminary, she received masters and doctoral degrees in education from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. She and her husband, the late Rev. James B. Dotson, served many years in Baptist mission work in Tennessee, California, Alaska and Okinawa. She taught in public schools for 42 years. Preceding her in death were her husband, and a sister, Eva Lee Kirkland. She is survived by her six children, 15 grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brothers, Earl and F.G. Longley, Apison, sisters, Bettye Jeane Knisley, Apison, and Martha Joyce Settle, Hixson. Funeral services will be April 20 at First Baptist Church, Maryville, where she was a member, serving as deacon and Sunday School teacher. Burial will be at Cane Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Monroe County. Miller Funeral Home, Maryville, is in charge of arrangements. TUSCOLA, Feb 1 - Funeral will be held at the Cedar Gap Baptist church Sunday at 2:30 p.m.m for Mrs. Virginia Dotson, 87. Burial will be in the Cedar Gap cemetery beside the body of her husband, Campbell Dotson, who died Jan. 5, 1925. Jenkins and Hodge, local funeral directors, will be in charge. Mrs. Dotson was one fo the pioneer settlers of the county, having resided in the community where she died for 61 years. Mrs. Dotson had been in failing health several years but had been ill only two days before she died Friday night. Mrs. Dotson was born Oct, 28, 1853, in Virginia. She was married July 5, 1871. Her husband served three years during the Civil war. Mrs. Dotson joined the church and was baptized when 14. She was the mother of 11 children, seven of whom survive. They are Mrs. J. H. Survived by sons Don and David Duewall, daughter Barbara Schomburg and husband Ted, eight grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren and one great great granddaughter. Her family was the most important thing in her life. She prayed daily for each of us. We will cherish her love and memory. MeMaw had her prayer answered, she went before her children.

Ellen Dunham, age 93, of Granite City, died at 8:50 a.m., Friday, May 11, 2001, at St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Granite City. She was born Jan. 3, 1908, in Peach Orchard, Ark., the daughter of the late William and Rhoda Jones Varner. She married Edward Dunham. He preceded her in death in June, 1979. She is survived by three sons, Lee Roy Dunham, and wife Lynette, of Granite City, Frank Dunham of Caseyville and Robert and Helen Dunham of Granite City; two daughters, Beulah Dollins, and husband Bill, of Granite City, and Edna Curtis, and husband Lee, of Fulton, Mo.; 13 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one brother, Edward Varner, and one sister, Myrtle Hinson. Mrs. Dunham was a homemaker and farmed with her husband. She was a member of the City Temple in Granite City. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, May 14, at Irwin Chapel, 3960 Maryville Road. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 15, at the funeral home with the Rev. Archie Strong officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Hills Memorial Estates. Memorials are suggested to the Diabetes Association or the Alzheimer's Association.

Armida Nicolosi Dunn, passed peacefully from this world into the loving arms of Jesus, on August 15, 2001, with her family by her bedside. Armida was born on April 5, 1915, in Fort Cobb, OK. She was the daughter of Piedro and Rosa Lee Nicolosi. The family moved to Oklahoma City in 1921. She graduated from Putnam City High School. She was a member and past president of the Phi Zeta Phi Sorority. In her early years, she had pursued a career in cosmetology. Following World War II, she married Byron M. Dunn and together they owned and operated several restaurants in the OKC area. Her later years were spent in partnership with her brothers, Les and Sam Nicolosi, at Nicolosi's Ranch House Restaurant. Her parents, Piedro and Rosa Nicolosi, her brothers, Sam and Les Nicolosi, and her nephew, Philip Piedro Nicolosi, preceded her in death. She is survived by her daughter, Glenda Lucas, and son-in-law, Curtis Lucas, her beloved grandchildren, Jeffery Lucas and wife, Julie, and Jonathan Lucas, great-grandchildren, Blake, Collin, Jacelyn, and Courtlyn Lucas; brother, Ralph, and sister-in-law, Faye Nicolosi; and sisters-in-law, Mary and Betty Nicolosi; and all her beloved nieces and nephews. "Mom you were a truly magnificent lady and a wonderful Nana. May you walk forever in the loving care of Jesus. We love you." William Leroy Eckert, only son of Wallace W. and Grace M. Eckert, of Tyrone, died Wednesday afternoon at 5 o'clock at the State Sanatorium, near Sabillasville, at which he had been a patient for four monts. He had been ill six months. Mr. Eckert, who was 22 years of age, was an active member of Baust Reformed church, near Tyrone, in which he was a Sunday School teacher and president of the dramatic club. He was also a member of the choir and of the Westminster Players. Besides his parents, he is survived by three sisters, Virginia May, Madeline and Vera, all at home, and his maternal grandfather, J. E. Haines and paternal grandmother, Mrs. Annie Eckert. The funeral will be held Saturday afternoon, moeeting at the home at one o'clock, in charge of Rev. M. S. Reifsnider, paster. Pallbearers will be William J. Flohr, Roland Stonesifer, Norman Graham, Albert Little, Paul Bowersox, and Paul Houck. Friends may view the body at the Eckert home Friday night between 7 and 9 o'clock. D. D. Hartzler and Sons, funeral directors.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Michele Fair, Mount Joy, Michael, husband of Diana (Bertz) Fair, Lancaster, Scott, husband of Sue (Kauffman) Fair, Mount Joy, Charles, husband of Deanna (Long) Fair, Harrisburg, Donna, wife of Mark Hansen, Landisville, and David Fair of Mount Joy and his fiance, Amber Graff; six grandchildren; and brothers, David, husband of Maria (Abuda) Fair, Brandon, Fla., and Allen, husband of Suzanne (Drodge) Fair, of Bremerhaven Germany. Ex-Resident of City Dies Suddenly
Russell Leslie Fairall, 56, of 469 west 185th street, Euclid, O., who formerly operated a repair garage on McIntire avenuew, died suddenly at 12:10 p.m. Saturday in Good Samaritan Hospital, three hours after being admitted. He had come to Zanesville Friday to visit a daughter, Mrs. Donald Mercer of 1224 East Elm street and complaining of being ill Saturday morning called upon a doctor who advised him to go to the hospital. He had been suffering of a heart ailment. Mr. Fairall was born in this city, Sept. 11, 1903, a son of Otto Bert and Maude Wolfe Fairall and had moved seven years ago to Euclid wher he was an employe of the Turks Auto Service. He was a member of the Eagles Lodge of Cleveland. Surviving are his wido, Ruth of the home; two daughters, Mrs. Mercer and Mrs. Frank Havens of Hopewell Route 1; his mother, Mrs. Maude Fairall of 526 McIntire avenue; seven grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Claude Wallwork of North Linden avenue and Mrs. Theodore Lane of South Zanesville Rout 1; two brothers, Harold of Canton and and Ellwood of McIntire avenue, and several nieces and nephews. A son, Russell, Jr., was killed in action during World War II. The body was taken to the Hillis Funeral Home where Eagle ritualistic services are to be held at 8 p.m. Monday. Rev. H M Carpenter, pastor of Central Trinity Methodist Church will conduct funeral services there at 2 p.m. Tuesday and interment will follow in Memorial Park.

COSHOCTON - Dalton Eugene Ferrell, 86, died at his Coshocton Health and Rehabilitation Center on Saturday, July 22, 2006. Born Feb. 16, 1920, in Dresden, he was a son of the late Richard and Anna Mary (Haegan) Ferrell. He attended Dresden High School and served in the U.S. Army from 1945 through 1947, in the 42nd Infantry Division, stationed in Salzburg, Austria. "Gene" was raised on a farm and engaged in agriculture for most of his active years. He was a past Master of Adams Mills Grange and was recognized by the Future Farmers of America as a friend and support. For several years he was the area representative for Dekalb Seed Corn Company. A few years following retirement from farming he was employed as a Security Guard at Smurfit-Stone Container Corp. Being always active, his last years involved enjoying his home and large family and helping his children with home maintenance and construction projects. A loving and faithful husband, father and grandfather, he will be sorely missed. He is survived by his wife Della (Bendure) Ferrell, whom he married May 25, 1947; a son, Dalton Eugene Ferrell II of Marietta; four daughters, Mary Martin (Dean Myron) Leas of West Lafayette, Barbara Jean Mainwaring of Coshocton, Bonita Faye (Joseph) Gerardi of Columbus and Elaine (Rocky) Smith of Coshocton; 10 grandchildren, seven stepgrandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and eight stepgreat-grandchildren; two sisters, Virginia King of Coshocton and Anna Margaret Russell of Orlando, Fla.; one brother, Charles Ferrell of Dresden; two brothers-in-law, Charles Johnson of Norwich and the Rev. William Babb of Marian, Ind.; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three sisters, Doris (Charles) Johnson, Wanita (George) Houston and Vivian (Fred) Faulhaber. At Dalton's request, cremation will be followed by a graveside for the public at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 27, 2006, at South Lawn Cemetery. Given-Dawson Funeral Home will handle arrangements.

Rev. Father Duncan Weeks, pastor of St. James Episcopal church, will officiate and interment will be in Greenwood cemetery. Mr. Ferrell was well known in this city where he had been an employe of the American Rolling Mill Co. for 36 years. He was a member of the Zanesville Area Fraternal Order of Eagles and B.P.O. Elks. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Elizabeth Ferrell, of the home; six daughters, Mrs. Virginia Roush, of Harville, O.; Mrs. Eleanor Paul, of Riverside drive, and Eloise, Dorothy, Mary and Margaret, all of the home; two sons, William and Edward Ferrell, also of the home; his mother, Mrs. Alice Ferrell of Zanesville, a brother, Glen Ferrell, of Canton, and two grandchildren and several nephews and nieces. The body was removed to the home Sunday morning from the Mader-Peoples funeral home.

Fillpot of Bowie, Tex.; two brothers, George of Lamesa, Tex., and Charles of Amarillo; and four sisters, Mrs. Jess Longley of Hollis, Mrs. Ruth May of Levelland, Tex.; and Mrs. Pauline Hightower of Childress, Tex., and Mrs. Jimmy McMcillion of Bowie.

Married Arline Rose January 9, 1944 in Scottsbluff, Nebraska. Later divorced. Graduated from Delta High School. Attended Ricks College and BYU. Served in US Army Air Corps during World War II as Master Sergeant over the Scottsbluff, Nebraska base. After war, lived in Provo and started a general store for 5 years. Then went into the car business for his life's profession. Numerous trips as a top car salesperson. Avid deer hunter and gun collector. Also collected coins. Known for dancing ability. Loved hearing and telling stories. Active member and High Priest in LDS Church. Survived by sons and daughters, Rose Ann (Lyn) Clayton, Payson; Kitt (Elayne) Finlinson, Kaysville; Ralph (Cheri) Finlinson, Springville; Jenny (Randy) Huskinson, Rexburg, Idaho; 16 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; sister, Lucy Day, Brigham City; sisters-in-law, Afton Finlinson, Fillmore; Elva Finlinson, Oak City. Funeral services Thursday January 6, 2000, 1 p.m., Oak City Church. Friends call Church 11 a.m.-12:40 p.m. Burial Oak City Cemetery.

Mary Elizabeth Whyte Finsterwald, 87, the widow of Charles Herbert Finsterwald of Fairway Drive in Nicholasville, died Jan. 10, 2001 at her home after a brief illness. She was a member of the St. Luke Catholic Church and the daughter of the late James and Elizabeth Whyte. Survivors include two children and their spouses, Phillip Mead Finsterwald and Jo Ann, Charlene "Herbie" Doolin and Doug; grandchildren and their spouses, P. Michael and Laura Finsterwald, Mark Alan and Lili Finsterwald, David Blair Finsterwald, Kim Doolin and her fiancee, David Young, Doug Doolin, Jr., and Hannah Doolin and Priscilla Finsterwald; two special nieces, Bev Stoncel and Mary Jane Dean; and special friends, Pat Riley and Nancy Clark. She was preceded in death by four brothers, Jack, Meade, Charles and Joseph Whyte and two sisters, Regina Whyte and Nancy Clark. Funeral services were held at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday at St. Luke Catholic Church. Burial followed in Maple Grove Cemetery. Contributions may be made to Jessamine County Hospice.

ATHENS - Mrs. Mary Kinkade Finsterwald, 75, of 13-1/2 West State St., passed awasy Friday at the home of her son Charles in Lexington, Ky., where she had been residing for the past six months. She was born in Nelsonville, the daughter of the late Charles and Lillian Kinkade. She is a member of the First Christian Church and Ester Class. In addition to here parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Finsterwald. She is survived by two sons, Robert of Athens and Charles Jr. of Lexington, Ky.; five grandchildren; three great grandchildren, one brother, Smith Kinkade of Madison, W. Va. Friends may call after 1 p.m. Saturday at the Warren Funeral Home in Nelsonville, where funeral services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Joe Maffett officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery in Nelsonville.

RIDGEWAY - Chester E. Fish, 76, retired farmer of RR 1, Ridgeway, died at 10:45 p.m. Tuesday at home after a two month illness. A resident of this vicinity 60 years, he had been a member of Logan County Farm Bureau. Born April 19, 1892, in Putnam County, he was a son of Frederick and Annie Kinney Fish. His wife, Zelma Harrod Fish, died in 1956. He was a member of Big Springs United Methodist Church. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Methel Creviston, and 2 sons, Lester and Clarence of the rural Ridgeway address, and 13 grandchildren. Services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. in Mackey Funeral Home in Mount Victory. Rev. M. R. Nicholson will officiate. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. Thursday.

Services for Clarence L. Fish will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Price Funeral Home, Mount Victory, by Pastor Charles Runion. Burial will follow in Fairview Belle Center Cemetery, with military graveside rites by Amvets Post 1994. He died Saturday, May 8, 2004, at Hardin Memorial Hospital, Kenton. He was born June 23, 1920, in Logan County to Chester E. and Zelma (Harrod) Fish. On Sept. 4, 1942, he married Twila McKinley in Covington, Ky., and she preceded him in death in July 1977. Surviving are six daughters, Hope Myers, Karen Harper, Laura Fish and Sharon (Wayne) Miller, all of Kenton, Betty Fish of Ridgeway and Judy (William H.) Brown of East Liberty; six sons, Kenneth of Dunkirk, Danny (Joyce) of Rushsylvania, Jack of Alexandria, Va., Steven (Donna) of Bellefontaine, Robert (Chris) of Kenton and Jeffrey (Tina) of West Liberty; 16 grandchildren and one great-grandson. He was preceded in death by two sons, William and Michael, a grandson, a great-granddaughter, a brother, Lester and a sister, Methel Creviston. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a retired farmer. He was a member of the Big Springs United Methodist Church. He served on the Taylor Creek Zoning Board and was a former member of the Ridgemont Board of Education. He was a former member of the Hardin County Farm Bureau. Memorials may be made to the donor's choice.

BAREFOOT BAY RESIDENT BERNIE FORKER DIES
Bernie Troy "Dude" Forker, 78, a retired sheet metal employee and supervisor from Industrial First in Ohio, died Tuesday, Feb. 2, at Sebastian River Medical Center in Roseland. Mr. Forker was born in Zanesville, Ohio. He came to Brevard County in 1984 from Cleveland. "His nickname 'Dude' came from his sister because he liked to dress up a lot," said his wife, Nola Vondy-Forker of Barefoot Bay. "When he was a little boy, he loved to dress in his nice shirt, jacket and tie at all times. His great-grandson began to do the same thing recently and neither of them knew about the other," she added. "He was very jovial, upbeat and charming," his wife said. "Everybody just loved him, he literally had thousands of friends. He believed in always trying to make others happy and would come up with the cutest things to make people laugh. He never thought of himself and always of others," she said. "He was a good provider, good husband, good everything," she said. "We had a lot of fun together, he was just a joy to be with. He was the perfect husband and gentleman," she added. Mr. Forker was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was a member of Ameican Legion, The Baytones and Horseshoe Pitching Club and volunteered at Sebastian River Medical Center and Holmes Regional Medical Center. Mr. Forker also was a singer and actor for Inspirational Productions. He sang for many choirs in the area and also performed in the Easter production of "He's Alive." Noted many times for his gardening, "he could charm anyone out of a plant that he saw and didn't have so he could add it to his garden," his wife said. "He had the greenest thumb in town," said his son, Jeffrey Forker of Chardon, Ohio. Other survivors include his daughters, Sharon Bloemendaal of the Netherlands, Sally Johnson of Glenellyn, Ill., Sandra Fronius of Strongsville, Ohio and Jennifer Pendur of Jefferson, Wisc. three sisters of Zanesville 14 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Calling hours are from 6 to 8 tonight at Strunk Funeral Home in Sebastian. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Riverside Church Assembly of God in Sebastian. Burial will be at Fountainhead Memorial Park in Palm Bay. Donations may be made to Riverside Assembly of God Building Fund, P.O. Box 780067, Sebastian, FL 32978.

Brenda Forker, six-year old daughter of Charles Forker of 509 Livingston avenue, and Mrs. Rosemary Wilson of Columbus, died at 2:30 o'clock yesterday afternoon in a Cambridge hospital following an illness of pneumonia. She had been critically ill since Tuesday. Besides her parents she is survived by her maternal grandmother, Mrs. Ethel Moore of Zanesville, Route 1; one sister Sarla Sue of the home; one half-sister, Shelia Wilson of Columbus; her paternal grandparents, Mrs. Inez Forker of the home and James Forker of Zanesville, Route 1. The funeral will be held at 3 o'clock Saturday afternoon at the Hillis funeral home wil Rev. Lloyd Snell of the Market Street Baptist church officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood. The body will remain at the funeral home.

FALL PROVES FATAL TO TODD FORKER
Todd Forker, 76-year-old retired farm worker who had spent most of his life in Dresden and Madison township, died at 9:20 p.m. Thursday of a broken neck sustained at 825 Monroe street where he had made his home the past two months. He had been taken Wednesday from Bethesda hospital to University hospital in Columbus where he died. He was treated for a fractured vetebra in his neck. He had fallen and struck his head in a hall way on the second floor of the home on Monroe street, aides at the local hospital said. Never married, he was born in Madison township. Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Sallie Crozier of Dresden and Mrs. Fannie Fern Bowden of California; four brothers, Jesse Forker of Dresden, Frank Forker of Urichsville, William Forker and James Forker of Zanesville; and several nieces and nephews. The body was removed to the Baughman and Sons funeral home at Dresden.

The Rev. Henry Hansen will officiate and burial will be in Union Cemetery, Uhrichsville. Mr. Forker, a resident of Uhrichsville for the past 50 years, was born June 23, 1889, in Dresden, the son of Euphrates and Mary Watts Forker. His wife, the former Nellie Gossett, died in 1959. He was a member of Defiance Lodge 195, F&AM; Emir Grotto 39; Scottish Rite, Valley of Steubinville; Waterford Post 230, American Legion and was a veteran of World War I. Surviving are three brothers, William of 254 Pine street, James of 830 Princeton avenue and Jess of the Frame Rest Home and two sisters, Mrs. Sally Crozier of Dresden and Mrs. Ferne Bowden of El Segundo, Calif

Harry Forker is Suddenly Called HomeBrother of Local Residents Drops Dead of Heart AttackHarry Foraker, 58, a well known resident of Dresden for many years, died very suddenly from a heart attack at 11 o'clock Wednesday morning at his home. He had been downtown in Dresden in the morning and had just returned home when he was stricken and death occurred before a physician could be summoned. A native of Madison township, Mr. Forker moved to Dresden a number of years ago and was a valued employe of the Dresden paper mill. He was a consistent member of the Dresden Baptest church and the Modern Woodmen of America. Surviving are his widow and two children: Mrs. Opal Poorman of Newcomerstown; Tannehill Forker of the home: four step-children, Mrs. Dewey Frame and William Crozier of this city, Grover Crozier and Mrs. Esther Stone of Dresden; his mother Mrs. Mary Forker, Dresden, Route No. 1: five brothers and two sisters, James and William of Zanesville, Tod and Jesse of Dresden, Route No. 1; Frank of Defiance; Mrs. Sallie Grant, city, Mrs. Fern Bowden of Dresden. Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon at the Dresden Baptist church with Rev. Boyd being assisted by Rev. W. B. Patterson. Interment will be made in Dresden cemetery. Schaumleffel funeral home is in charge.

Mrs. Inez Forker, 67, of 827 Livingston avenue, wife of James Forker, died yesterday afternoon at her home following a lingering illness. Mrs. Forker was a member of the Market Street Baptist church and the Calhoun Bible class. Surviving in addition to her husband are six daughters, Mrs. Lawrence Hutchison of Mansfield, Mrs. Robert Huey of 843 Livingston avenue, Mrs. Bert Clift of Rochester, N. Y., Mrs. Ralph Hazen of 2849 Maple avenue and Mrs. Harry Kirk and Miss Eleanor Forker of the home; four sons, James Forker of Newark, Perry of 1043 Sevall street, Charles of Livingston avenue and Bernard of Cleveland; a brother, Pearl Smith of Zanesville, and two sisters, Mrs. Earl Henke of Welsh road and Mrs. Clarence Snode of 404 Sunkel avenue. Also surviving are 23 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. The body was removed to the Hillis funeral home. Services will be held at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon at the funeral home. Rev. C. Clifford Caverlee of the Market Street church will officiate. Burial will be in Greenwood. The body will remain at the funeral home.
