Ruth A. Willis, age 76, passed away November 21, 2007 at Grant Hospital. She was born May 1, 1931 to the late George and Naomi Lanich in Columbus, Ohio. She was a member of the Walnut Hill United Methodist Church; supporter and Volunteer of the Capital Area Humane Society; and Docent Associate with the Columbus Zoo. She was an avid crafter and participated in numerous shows with her products. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, William; daughters, Karen Runyons, and Jaye (Steve) MacPherson; sons William (Sandy) Willis and Scott (Kate) Willis; 9 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren; sister, Anna Driscoll of Ashtabula; many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by sister Betty Seaman and son in law Bill Runyons. Friends may call at WOODYARD EAST CHAPEL, 2300 E. Livingston Ave. Saturday 6-8 p.m. and Sunday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. The funeral service will be held at the Walnut Hill United Methodist Church Monday 11 a.m. Pastor Jeff Smalley officiating. Ruby Wilson, age 91, of Boerne, passed away on Thursday, February 10, 2000. She was born in Hollis, Oklahoma, on April 17, 1908, the Daughter of Josephus Arnold and Ada Mae Archer Longley. She was a member of the Church of Christ. Mrs. Wilson was preceded in death by her husband, Jessie Leroy Wilson; two daughters, Lea Mae Wilson and Jessie Evelyn Wilson, as well as one grandson, Roger Wilson. Mrs. Wilson is survived by three sons, James L. Wilson of San Antonio, C. Ivan Wilson of Corpus Christi and Lawrence M. "Pete" Wilson of Boerne; 13 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren. The Visitation will be on Tuesday Morning, February 15, prior to the Funeral Service at 12:30 p.m. at the Funeral Home, with Pastor Randy Couchman, officiating. Burial will follow at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery. Pallbearers are Wayne Heskew, Glen Wilson, Jeff Wilson, Dale Wilson, Greg Wilson, and Ronald Wilson. If so desired, Memorials may be made to the Medina Children's Home.

Wilson Adam, 94, a retired well driller, passed away June 27, 1962 in the Irvin Nursing Home at Columbia City. A former resident of Wolf Lake, he lived with his daughter, Mrs. Kendall Secrist at Collins since 1955. He was a grandson of Sam Wilson, reputed to be the original "Uncle Sam", although there has been considerable controversy with a New York community on that claim. Also surviving is another daughter, Mrs. Glen Hire, R. 2, Albion; 7 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; 3 stepsons; 2 stepdaughters; a brother and a sister. Services were held at a Columbia City funeral home with interment at Wolf Lake Cemetery. + 6-27-1963

Robert H Winefordner, 79, of 332 Elm street, Duncan Falls, a prominent area resident, died at 6:45 a.m. Friday at his home of an apparent heart attack. He was born Aug. 26, 1895, in Zanesville. As a young man, Mr. Winefordner worked for First National Bank in Zanesville and for many years was a sales representative for coal companies in Ohio and West Virginia. From 1944 to 1963 he was clerk at Duncan Falls post office. Surviving are his widow, Helen Laub Winefordner, whom he married June 15, 1966; several nieces and nephews. Friends may call in Clyde E. Thompson Funeral Home at Duncan Falls after 7 p.m. today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday. Burial will be in Duncan Falls Cemetery.

MEDICINE LODGE - Ronald "Ron" Wayne Winter, 67, died Dec. 13, 2004, at Medicine Lodge Memorial Hospital. He was born July 27, 1937, at Sharon, the son of Henry and Gayle Louthan Winter. A lifetime resident of Barber County, he worked for the National Gypsum Co., retiring after 40 years of service. He belonged to Trinity Lutheran Church, Medicine Lodge. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving in Germany and France. On Nov. 15, 1975, he married Kay Johnson at Medicine Lodge. She survives. Other survivors include: a stepdaughter, Jean Beeman and husband, David, Mesa, Ariz.; two stepgrandsons, Christopher and Jeffery Beeman, Phoenix, Ariz.; a stepgranddaughter, Chystin Beeman; a brother, Allen and his wife, Nancy, Mulvane; and a sister, Vickie Scarbrough and husband, Jerry, Tampa, Fla. He was preceded in death by a sister, Virginia Lentz. Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Trinity Lutheran Church, Medicine Lodge, with Pastor Dennis Fangmeyer presiding. Visitation will be from 1 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, both at Larrison Funeral Home, Medicine Lodge. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery, Medicine Lodge. MABEL BEATRICE YEOKUM 1904 - 2006 Born April 13, 1904, Mabel peacefully passed way in her home on November 14, 2006. Dearly beloved mother and grandmother of five generations, she is survived by daughter, Barbara Biers and son-in-law Bob Biers; eight grandchildren, Beverly Hattig, Larry Beardsley, Sharon Navaretti, Bette Biers, Barry Biers, Bonita Krall, Randy Pochmara, Wynema Flores; nineteen great grandchildren and thirty-eight great great great grandchildren. Brothers, Cecil and Junior Cox, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends feel the sorrow of her final journey. She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, William Yeokum; and daughter, Maxine Pochmara. Mabel was born in Arcadia, Kansas and moved to California in 1949. Bill and Mabel opened Yeokums Grocery Store in Pine Flats, California in 1952. Having sold the store, Bill and Mabel moved to Granada Hills to live with their daughter and son-in-law in 1972. She was a 50+ year member of the Eastern Star and devoted to her family. She had a special talent of remembering all the birthdays and special events of her large family. Earl D. Young, 76, of Crooksville, secretary - treasurer and member of the board of directors of the Hull Pottery in Crooksville died at 9:30 a.m. Saturday (April 26) in Bethesda Hospital following a brief illness. Mr. Young had worked at the pottery for 60 years and was a member of the Elks Lodge in New Lexington and the Eagles Lodge in Crooksville. Born May 8, 1892, in Crooksville, he was a son of J.D. and Minnie Watts Young and attended the New Hope United Methodist Church. Surviving are his widow, the former Wilma Hoops; one daughter Mrs. Vernadelle Fauley of Roseville; two sons, Ronald J., of Crooksville and Robert of Roseville; one sister, Leanice Cooper of Crooksville; six grandchildren and one great grandchild. Pottery Forman Dies Suddenly
George W Young, 51, a foreman at the A.E. Hull pottery, died suddenly at 6:30 o'clock Sunday morning of a heart attack at his home, 513 Washington street, in Crooksville. He was a member of Eagles lodge, aerie 1979, and the Loyal Order of Moose, both of Crooksville. Surviving are two daughters, Miss Mona Young of the home, and Mrs. Rex Fleming of Crooksville; two grandchildren, Shirley Ann and Sondra Lee Barker, both of Roseville; his mother, Mrs. J D Young of Crooksville; one brother, Earl D. Young of Crooksville; two sisters, Mrs. Leanice Cooper and Mrs. Robert Shockley, both of Crooksville, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 3:30 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at Cannon and Cannon funeral home, Crooksville, with G. W. Wilson of Pittsburgh officiating. The body will be cremated at Colubus. The body was returned from the funeral home Sunday to the residence Sunday where memorial services will be held by the Eagles at 7:30 o'clock this evening and by the Moose lodge at 8 o'clock.

Mr. Young was a stockholder and director of the pottery firm. Surviving are his wife, Minnie Watts Young of the home; two sons, Earl D. and George W. Young of Crooksville; two daughters, Mrs. Leanie Cooper and Mrs. Robert Shockley, both of Crooksville; several brothers and sisters, and nieces and nephews. The body was removed to the Cannon & Cannon funeral home at Crooksville where funeral arrangements were incomplete last night.

Mrs. Young was born in McLuney on Oct. 8, 1905. She was a member of the New Hope United Methodist Church here and the Eagles Lodge auxiliary. Her husband, Earl D. Young, died in 1969. Surviving are a step-daughter, Mrs. Burgess (Vernadelle) Fauley of Roseville; two step-sons, Ronald J. Young of Mount Perry and Robert Young of Roseville; two brothers, Orville and Kenneth Hoops of Crooksville, six step-grandchildren and two great-step-children. The body is at the Goebel Funeral Home in Crooksville where friends may call anytime and where services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday. Burial will be in Crooksville Cemetery. Members of the family will be at the funeral home today from 2 until 4 and 7 until 9.

Word was received Saturday of the death in St. Petersburg, Fla., of 86-year-old Edward C. Zinsmeister, father of C. L. Zinsmeister, of Newark. A resident of Florida several years, he was a former Newark resident and was a retired Baltimore & Ohio Railroad Co., employe. His last place of residence here was in West Church St., and he was bridge and buildings superintendent for the Newark division of the B&O. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Mary Zinsmeister; two sons, C.L. Zinsmeister of Newark and Lloyd C. Zinsmeister of Denver, Colo.; also a step-daughter, Miss Winona Timberlake of St. Petersburg, and a brother, Albert H. Zinsmeister of Zanesville. He was a former resident of Zanesville and a member of the Masonic Order of Nwark. The funeral and burial will take place in St. Petersburg.
