I am 56 years of age, P.O. addres as above, Transfer business.

I was a pvt of Co F 77 Ohio Inf. Nov. 9/61 to Feby 21/66.

I had known Thos. Longley about four years before he enlisted in my company and during that time we lived about three miles apart and we met about every week as we were boys.

To my knowledge he never had any sickness or disability before he enlisted.

I messed with him in service. I don't recollect that he was discharged and re-enlisted. When I messed with him he was a musician and I was a drummer. That was during last part of my service.

Q. Do you know of any disease wound or injury that he had in service.

A. No, I don't know of any disability he had. I lived about seven miles from him after the war. He didn't stay long and moved to Minn. I saw him a few times after my discharge but I don't know anything of any disability that he had at that time. No, I can't remember that Longley had any diarrhea pile or lung disease in service or at any time and I never knew or heard that he had any of the diseases named before the war.

I have heard you read the statement of the claimant but I do not recall any thing of any sickness or disability that Longley had. I have heard this read; it is correct. No relation. no interest.
