of Samuel Russell in 1725 in England or Wales or anything else of
Russell interest.Robert Russell-Mary Leedom are my ancestors. Robert' birthplace, was
Loudoun County, Virginia. He was believed to be the youngest the son
of Samuel Russell and Sarah Hatcher.Samuel Russell and Sarah Hatcher Russell
1. Samuel Russell b. 1725 England or Wales d.1806 in Loudoun County,
Va.2. Sarah Hatcher-Was a Quaker. Infact disowned for marrying Samuel
Russell. Her father William Hatcher gave her siblings plantations and
left Sarah a mere 10 Shillings with no explanation in his will. Sarah
was born in 1728 in Pennsylvania.Much is written on her parents William and Ann Van Sandt, They and
their siblings are in many Quaker and government records.Hatchers who stay in Loudoun Co VA are descendants of Thomas and
Rebecca. They lived near the county line, and can also be found in
Facquier Co VA records. Hatcher's Mill Road which exist today, is named
for the mill built by their sons, and passed to a grandson, Goruley R.
Hatcher.2. Robert Russell-is my direct descendant, b. 24 April 1753 in Loudon
County, Virginia and died there 28 Jun 1827.He married Mary Leedom, daughter of John Leedom and Letitia Jones born
in Ireland 25 Oct 1759. She died on 3 mar 1838.Our ancestor was Mary Leedom born 1759 Washington Co.,Pa. and died
March 5, 1838 Loudoun Co.,Va. She was the daughter of John Leedom and
Letitia. Mary married Robert Russell Jan 19, 1779. They lived in
Loudoun Co.,Va.. All I have on John Leedom is born 1724 Ireland and
married 1753 in New Britain, Bucks Co.,Pa. Letitia Jones born April 2,
1730 Pa. and her parents were Thomas Jones and Martha West.Robert Russell and Mary Leedom had ten children:
Charles, Letitia, Ann, SAMUEL, Mary, Martha, Rebecca, Elizabeth, Sarah,
and John.Samuel married a Sarah Moore on 25 Oct 1808 in Belmont County, OH.
Samuel died 12 Jul 1878 in Flushing, Belmont Co, Oh.3. William Russell-William Russell, born about. 1745; died 31 May 1813
in near Harper's Ferry, VA; married (1) Ruth Russell Abt. 1771 in
Harper's Ferry, VA; died about. 1789; married (2) Edith Smith about.
1790 in ? Harper's Ferry; born 1762; died 10 May 1856.4. Rebecca Russell- Rebecca Russell, born about. 1749; died about. 1839
in Texas; married Anthony Cummings about. 1775 in Loudoun Co., VA; born
about. 1747.5. John Russell-Indian fighter with Abel Janney, recorded in the
history of Ohio. Family legend has it that John died as the result of
an Indian Fight and capture. He escaped the indian's captivity and made
it back to a Kentucky encampment and died of exposure. He was only
clothed in a waistcloth . He died a few days after his arrival in 1882.6. Ann Russell- probably the oldest and died young before 1780. She
was however old enough to sign a matrimony bond at the wedding of 11
Jan 1768, Sarah's sister, Mary Hatcher, married James Gibson.I am Robert Wayne Russell Jr. b. August 3,1958 , eldest son of Robert
Wayne Russell b. Nov 27, 1936 Ecorse, Michigan and Janet Myra
Bussinger. 1939.My siblings are: Daniel Calvin Russell b. Wyandotte, Michigan
August 10th, 1960 and Donna Marie Russell b. Trenton, Michigan October
28, 1963.My early days were spent often in Southgate, Michigan visiting my
grandparents, Wayne Issac Russell b. 1907 and Bernice Schell .My grandmother, Berniece was born in Denver, Colorado Aug 1, 1911 and
died April 9, 1998 and is interred at Michigan memorial park next to my
grandfather Wayne who died in Hudson, Florida August 17, 1981.Her parents were Robert Schell born, September 29, 1884 at the age of
81 years and died May 10, 1965. He is interred in the Michigan Memorial
Park next to his Wife Ethel King born in Arkansas June 11, 1893 and
died in Wayne County, Michigan August 23, 1964.They had 4 children Donna (Deceased in 1939), Robert my dad, Joyce
Carol and Kay Berniece.My grandparents were from Kansas and I am told I may have relatives in
Colby and Goodland.My grandfathers dad , Asbury Brownfield Russell and his mother,
Josephine Ethel Shults.I am unclear about my grandfather Wayne's siblings however I am under
the impression he had more then a sister Beulah out in Kansas.Asbury B. Russell, my great grandfather was born in North Lewisbury,
Ohio on July 4, 1858 and he died on Christmas day, december 25, 1922 in
Goodland , Kansas.My great grandfathers siblings are a sister Jessie May Russell, born in
N. Lewisbury, Ohio May 16, 1860 and died around 1920. Sister, Orpha
born also same, on February 9, 1862 . Died about 1925. Brother, Levi
Kirk Russell, birthplace same on Feb 16, 1864 and died Mar 27, in
Nodaway, County, Missouri. Brother, William Wesley Russell, born in
Marion, Iowa on februrary 18, 1868.My great grandfathers parents and my G-G Grandparents are Otho Russell
born in Belmont Co, Oh July 22, 1832 and died in Gosport, Iowa Mar 28,
1868. My G-G grandmother is sarah Ann White , born in Wayne, Ohio
August 13, 1857My G-G grandfather was the son of Alfred Russell, born in Belmont
County Oh september 29, 1809 and died September 1, 1840 and was married
to Margurite payne on October 26, 1831 and born beleived to be 1810..My G-grandfather Otho, siblings are Charles Russell, born same
birthplace Mar 1, 1840 and died in Albion, marshall, Co, Iowa.brother,
Robert same, birthpace in 1837 died about 1900. Brother, William haney
Russell , same birthplace on May 31, 1839 and died about 1900. Brother,
Wesley same bitrthplace, March 1, 1840, appeared on the census in
Belmont Co, Oh in 1850 and died about 1900. Brother, Stephen Russell
reported to have died about 1900 and born about 1841.My G-G-G grandfather, Samuel Russell was born in Loudoun County,
Virginia on Janurary 8, 1783 and died July 12, 1878 in Flushing,
Belmont Co, Ohio and was married to sarah Moore, born Belmont Co, Oh
Oct 25, 1808 and they had the following children:Mary Russell-died as an infant, Martha Russell, Alfred Russell, Mary
Russell, Hannah Russell, Charles Russell, John Russell, Wesley Russell,
Emily Russell, Sarah Russell, Eliza Russell, Robert Russell, Samuel
Russell, Thomas Russell.My G-G-G-G grandfather Robert Russell was born in Loudoun Co, Virginia
April 24, 1753 and died there June 28, 1827. he was married to mary
Leedom of ireland born there October 25, 1759 and died mar 3, 1838. I
have alot of information on her family.Mary Leedom born 1759 Washington Co.,Pa. and died March 5, 1838 Loudoun
Co.,Va. She was the daughter of John Leedom and Letitia. Mary married
Robert Russell Jan 19, 1779. They lived in Loudoun Co.,Va. John Leedom
is born 1724 Ireland and married 1753 in New Britain, Bucks Co.,Pa.
Letitia Jones born April 2, 1730 Pa. and her parents were Thomas Jones
and Martha West.

1858 in Loudoun Co., VA; married William M. Bleakly 1797; born 17 Sep
1772; died 07 Oct 1833 in Loudoun Co., VA.
ii. Nancy Ann Russell, born 18 Dec 1780 in VA; died 12 Jul 1861 in
Clinton Co., OH; married (1) William Biggs Abt. 1800; died Bef. 1801;
married (2) John Rhodes 21 Mar 1801 in Frederick Co., MD; married (3)
John Mines 1807 in Loudon.
