58.   Benjamin Adams, born at Braintree, Massachusetts. on October 25. 1754.
          He was the son of l12. William Adams, Jr. and 113. Ruth______.
          He   married
59.   Anne Holmes daughter of 118 Frank Holmes; she died at
         Hopkinton, Massachusetts on January 29, 1830 at age 63.
                                  Children of Benjamin Adams and Ann Holmes are:

    i.   Polly Adams, born December 14, 1786.
    ii. Nancy Adams, born April 03, 1788.
    iii. Hannah Adams, born September 04, 1789.
+ iv. Joanna Adams, born July 11, 1791 ; died September 13,
    1877; married her cousin John Adams son of Elisha and
    Sarah (Watkins) Adams in 1813.
    v. Millicent Adams, born February 03, 1793.
    vi. William Adams, born July 24, 1794.
    vii. Nathan Adams, born 1796

Our Adamses, George Washington, Mary Rebecca, and Joanna (Aunt Jo ), descend from Joanna and John Adams.

Benjamin was a private from Hopkinton in the Middlesex Regiment of Col. Samuel Bullard and Capt. John Holmes, enlistment date April 19, served 7 days; died in Hopkinton on August 28, 1831 at the age of 67; he is buried at Hopkinton.
