Harold S. Fancher, Birth Date: 1931 Birth Place: Johnstown, New York
          Corporal, U.S. Army. Death Date: 22 Jun 1951 Death Country: Korea. Died while Prisoner of War  
          Corporal Fancher was a medic with the Medical Company, 21st Infantry Regiment, 24th Infantry
          Division. He was taken Prisoner of War while tending his wounded comrades near Chochiwon,
          South Korea on July 12, 1950 and died while a prisoner at An-Dong, North Korea on June 22, 1951.
          His remains were not recovered. Corporal Fancher was awarded the Purple Heart, the Combat
          Medical Badge, the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense
          Service Medal, the Korean Presidential Unit Citation and the Republic of Korea War Service Medal.

   Maxie Fancher, Birth Date: 1932 Birth Place: Jefferson, Alabama  
          Private First Class, U.S. Army. Death Date: 28 Jan 1953 Death Country: Korea, Killed in Action

          Private First Class Fancher was a member of Company G, 2nd Battalion, 5th Infantry Regimental
          Combat Team. He was Killed in Action while fighting the enemy near DT 2185-4120, North Korea on
          January 28, 1953. Private First Class Fancher was awarded the Purple Heart, the Combat
          Infantryman's Badge, the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the National
          Defense Service Medal, the Korean Presidential Unit Citation and the Republic of Korea War Service
          Medal.
