Welcome to the Fawdington Genealogy Website. The aim of the Website is to co-ordinate research into Fawdingtons all over the world by bringing together the available data drawn from Parish Registers (and Bishops' Transcripts), G.R.O. (Births, Deaths, and Marriages), Probate Records (including Wills, Administrations, and Death Duty Registers), Census Records, Deeds Registries and so on.
The Project has an inevitable focus on Fawdingtons from Yorkshire, particularly from the Parish of Alne and the township of Asenby (Topcliffe Parish). Material will be brought on line in due course. In the mean time, researchers interested in Fawdingtons are invited to contact the webpage manager: [email protected]

Note: the Fawdingtons mentioned in the Parish Register for Alne (Borthwick Institute, York, Microfilm 626) have only been patchily indexed on the 1992 I.G.I. which lists Fawdingtons and Faldingtons separately. RHFC spent several hours scrolling through this microfilm on 31 August 1995 and has entered gleanings below, but they are highly selective. A comprehensive trawling is currently being undertaken by Mrs Faith Keymer. Richard Woolfall has combed all of the extant and legible Bishops' Transcripts of the Alne Parish Registers.
