| While I was working with the line of George Benjamin Fay, I checked Orlin and saw only two children listed for Benjamin Haynes. |

| The census records of 1850, 1860 and 1870 in Southborough add four more names to the two given by Orlin. The census of 1850 shows Benjamin, Virrilla, and four sons, Francis A; George B; Augustus M; and Moses A. As it turns out, there is a mistake there on the part of the census taker, which is corrected in later census records and is reported in the vital records of Southborough: The third child is not a son but a daughter, and her name was Augusta M(aria). |
