George Benjamin Fay (b. July 2, 1842) was the second son of Benjamin Haynes Fay. He was born in Southborough and is buried in the Southborough Rural Cemetery. There are many records, including birth certificates and marriage documents, available in various places to help in tracing this branch of the family (see the table of links, above). As always, the census records were valuable.

In 1850 and 1860, George B. is listed in his father's household in Southborough (see Benjamin Haynes Fay. In 1870, he has his own household.
1870   Hopkinton

In 1880, the family is indexed under "Tay" but it is clearly "Fay." They are living with Lucy's mother Catherine, whose last name is not correct; it should be "Wilder."
1880   Marlborough

In 1900, George and Lucy are living in Marlborough with two of their four living children, Irving and Harry (Charles Everett had died in 1880). George Arthur has his own household. Edwin is not living at home. I have not been able to find him in 1900, but in 1910 he has married and is living in Maine.
1900   Marlborough
1900   Hopkinton
1910   Saco, York, Maine

The 1930 census records for Percy, living in Melrose, and Harry, living in Marlborough, help fill in more of the line.
1930   Melrose
1930   Marlborough
