This project started with the offer of a copy of an obituary. I did a little research, enough to determine that this was not a line from John of Marlborough, but kept the notes and the obituary. Deciding some time later to include a few of the "Irish" lines that I had researched on the website, I continued researching this line, and the results are posted here. Here is the obituary, provided by the courtesy of Tammy Clark. |
Starting with the names, dates and relationships given in this obituary, I researched through the census documents, adding information from the social security lists, World War I registration lists and cemetery markers. The cemetery information and further obituaries were found at the the website of Joyce M. Tice, Tri-Counties Genealogy & History; these obituaries are presented here. |
Patrick and Rosanna are listed on the census of 1870 in Troy, Bradford Co., Pennsylvania. Patrick is 44 (born 1826), Rosanna 35 (born 1835); and they have two children, Ellen and Frederick. Patrick works for the railroad. Both parents were born in Ireland. In 1880, they are still in Troy, and Patrick's occupation is listed as "laborer." The name is indexed as "Fahr." "Roseanna" is 50 (born 1830); Patrick is 52 (born 1828). |
