2nd son of Horace Daniel and Annie True Fay. Born in Upton, Mass. 11-4, 1925.
He attended Upton Schools and graduated from Upton High School in June 1943.
He was called into U.S. service with the Army and inducted 1-14-1944. Went on active duty 2-4-1944. Army service no. #31430396.
He trained in Infantry Heavy Weapons with Co. A, 211th Battalion at Camp Blandon, Florida. Upton [sic] completion of training he was assigned to the 69th Division at Camp Shelby, Mississippi.
Due to foot injury in training he was sent to Lawson General Hospital in Atlanta, Ga. and trained to be a medical Technologist and was then assigned to Oliver General Hospital Medical Detachment, Augusta, Ga. serving in the Laboratory until Honorably discharged from service at Fort Devens, Mass. May 5, 1946.
He married Emily C. Lapham (born Jan. 1, 1926) at South Dartmouth, Mass. on July 27, 1946. Rev. Elton K. Hassett performed the ceremony at the South Dartmouth home of her parents.
He entered Boston University in 1946 and received his A.A. degree in 1948. Continued studies C.L.A. and accepted a position of Medical Technologist at Lakeville State Sanatoriam, Middleboro, Mass.
They have the following children.
10th-1. Peter Crapo Fay - B. Dartmouth 10-17-1947.
10th-2. Brad Borden Fay - B. Dartmouth 5-27-1950.
10th-3. Ninabeth True Fay - B. Dartmouth 6-1-1952
He has a home at the Hospital and one at South Dartmouth, Mass.
He is a highly skilled Technologist in his Labratory work. He is doing his part to help relieve the sufferings of mankind.
He is a great lover of good music, and in civic life and of people.
