Saint Michael's School 1944 Class Prophecy

On a recent visit to New York I met Margaret Dolan, who is now wearing a Wave Uniform. 1 also saw Joseph Tracy now Mayor of New York. I received a note from John Robinson now President of New York First National Bank. In my spare time I visited the Roxy Theatre on Broadway where Patricia Grace is costarring with John McCole In "Lower and Lower."

Margaret Dougherty is now a Power's Model. Saw the Yankees play a rotten game with Joe Carr on the 
loosing team. Gave a New Year’s Eve party which was attended by several well-known New York residents such as Joseph Grant, President of the Ship Yard Industry. My penthouse on this Occasion was decorated with flowers sent with the best compliments of Teresa Ernest's Flower Shop whose assistant is Beatrice Durkin.

While speeding to my dentist Robert Jowder, I was given a ticket by Patrolman, Joe Dougherty, and on arriving at the Police Station I met none other than Judge Hilbert Rhoads

Took my wife Mrs. Bielski to see the Largest Skating Rink in New York the manager of which is John Cauley. Ellen Kirkman now owns a famous New York Bakery. Patricia Gilman has established a large dress shop an Fifth Avenue. Florence Stokarski and Christine Rogala now run a slenderizing shop

James Cassidy won a close vote for President with Joseph Brady. The Stork Club is operated by none other than John Brady. with their chief star comedian Paul Perkins. Lt. Commander James Holmes is now Commander of a Torpedo Squadron on active duty. A latest and best selling novel is Eleanor Kerrigan's "The Poisonous Whiskey."

Sr. St. Martha is still picking apples off of Helen Wilkinson's head, Robert Holman, Ernest Gatta and Michael Sikorski are celebrating their first Mass next Sunday. New York’s leading meat packing industry Is now operated by John Mitchell. Margaret Mea Clark is now a Navy Nurse. Mary McGowan has just taken her final vows in the Sisterhood.

Gloria Boscola is now secretary to Edward O’Neil who is the leading clothes manufacturer in New York. Frances Dugan and Marion Falcone are now in, the Rockett Chorus in Radio City's Music Hall. Beatrice Gregg and Helene McFate now have a Beauty Shop in the Empire State Building.

In Riper's Grille a riot was caused by Paul Gilltrlain who at the next Minute found himself getting legal advise from a famous lawyer Philip F. Green. Met Joan Giersmeyer visiting in New York although her business, Interior Decorating, is now located in Wilmington

The Wrigley Co. have just found themselves a new President namely: Shirley O'Malley. Alice Milner has just graduated from New York State Teacher's College. The spaghetti House is now getting business as it was sold to Mary Jane La Gamba.

Anne Laughead is now a designer of hats. The Hack and Sack Gossipor is now written by Grace Marie Jones. Margaret Polli who started out collecting movie star pictures now has millions of pictures of movie stars. Doris Lewis is in the Photography business and has just finished a photograph of Robert Boscola who now controls Breyer’s Ice Cream Company. State Island Ferry is now operated by James Lykens.

Ramond Duffy, fullback of Notre Dames’ Football team, played his last game of the season. Harry Moore produced his first picture. Dorothy Blissick and Doris Heard are buyers for Macy’s on 5th Avenue.

I have just completed my stay in New York, where I have attended the Doctor’s Convention. I have enjoyed meeting all my former Class Mates from Old St. Michaels here in New York.
