Andrew Fender,
son of ???
From all indications Andrew was probably the son of Nimrod and Sarah but no absolute evidence has been found to prove this. See the notes under Nimrod Fender. Andrew Fender migrated to Owen County, Indiana, circa 1835. In 1843, he moved his family to Clay County, Illinois. After living there for a time, he moved to Mercer County, Illinois, then back to Clay County. He died at age 101 on March 11 1883. Andrew is the father of 17 children.Andrew C. came to Clay Co., Illinois from Owen Co., IN in 1843. He settled in Louisville Twp. where he lived one year. He then moved to Larkinsburg Twp. where he settled in Section 11 and bought the improvements on Lowtrip's farm, which land he deeded the next year. After living there 18 years he went to Mercer Co., IL. where he lived 14 years. He then returned to Clay County and after three years he moved back to Mercer County where he died at the age of 100 years. Some family members believe Andrew was in his late 90's and not 100 when he died.
