The research on the Cartwright family was carried out by Dawn Fendley, nee Cartwright, on the internet and using the facilities of the LDS Family History Library, the County Library at Taunton, Somerset and with help from cousins in Austrlia.
Charles Cartwright was found living in the East End of London, Middlesex.
It is not known who Charles married and how many children, other than Edwin, that they had.

On the 21st November 1927 His trousers caught in the Mess kettle which was full of boiling water which upset over his foot, causing scalds of 2nd and 3rd degree to whole of the foot and toes.
