January 1st Saturday 1838
The church met and after praise and prayer 1st The reference from last meeting respecting the ordination of Brother Charles SNOWDEN came up for consideration and on inquiry the church remain of the same mind. Then came the counsel (to wit) from Whiteriver Wm. CHAMBERS and Silvester ROBERTS, brother James H. HALL of Mount Moriah Church being present was invited to a seat in the counsel and on motion brethren Thomas HILL, John HILL, Thos. HILL, Jr. and Jesse ROBINSON were added to the council and after examination it is agreed by the council that Brother Charles SNOWDEN be at this time set apart to the work of the ministry. Whereupon Elders Thomas HILL and Jesse W. ROBINSON proceeded to set him apart by prayer and the laying on of hands and Elder Thomas HILL, Jr., gave the charge and then the council adjourned. The church having no further business to transact adjourned.

February 1st Saturday 1838
The church met and after praise and prayer 1st On motion it is agreed by the church to meet on the Sunday after the third Saturday of every month and that brethren John OSBOURN, Sidney BUTLER and Thomas COBB be appointed to converse with the ministering brethren of this church and learn their arrangements and whether the labour of any of them can be se� at our third Sunday meeting and ref �at next meeting. 2nd Whereas Elizabeth ROBINSON has connected with another denomination she is considered no longer a member with us. No other business appearing adjourned.

The church met and after praise and prayer 1st The brethren appointed at last meeting to visit and converse with our ministering brethren made their report and in motion it is agreed by the church to meet on every Sunday in future. 2nd Received by experience for baptism Rachael SWINCHER. 3rd Katharine GREEN in consequence of her having connected with another denomination is considered no longer a member with us. No other business appearing adjourned.

HILL, Jr., W. D. BACON, W. Lewis, D. LEWIS, J. OSBOURN, Jno. COBB and A. HILL agree to attend. No other business appearing adjourned.

First Saturday in February A. D. 1841
The church met and after praise and prayer proceeded to business. 1st The church take into consideration the propriety of giving Brother Thomas HILL, Jr. a call to preach with the church (within the bounds thereof) one half of his time. 2nd The church unanimously voted to give Brother T. HILL, Jr., a call to preach the gospel one half of this year the time to commence at the first of January of this year and that the call extends to exempt Brother HILL from labor one half of the year (on one half of each month in the year) and that he spend his time in visiting the brethren in the church and doing all the good he can. 3rd Brethren William LEWIS, Sidney BUTLER and John COBB are appointed to wait on Brother HILL and ascertain what will remunerate him for his services and labours as aforesaid. 4th Brother Earl TIBBETS received as a member of this church by letter from the 2nd Baptis Church on Ten Mile Clarmont County, Ohio. The church met and after praise and prayer 1st Brother Thomas HILL, Jr., presented minutes of meeting held on Neal Creek Jefferson County which were approved and ordered to be recorded as follows: �At a meeting held at the schoolhouse on Neals Creek Jefferson County In. April 8th 1841 at night present Thomas HILL, Thomas COBB, John COBB, Earl TIBBETS, and Thomas HILL, Jr. of Coffee Creek Church with Brethren from sister churches. It was thought advisable to open the door for the reception of members into the Baptist Church on Coffee Creek whereupon Eli HIGGINS, Asa JUDKINS, Cynthia CRANK and Mary JUDKINS came forward and related their Christian experience and were received as candidates for baptism.

Thursday night Apl 22nd

RICH reported that he had written in accordance with the direction of the church and Brother RICH not appearing to give satisfaction is considered no longer a member with us. 4th Received a communication from Concord Church requesting ministers and members from this church to meeting with them on the Tuesday after the 4th Saturday of this month whereupon El�dr T. HILL, Sen and Brethren Barnet GADDY, W. D. BACON, W. LEWIS, J. OSBOURN, H. COBB, and A. SCOTT agree to attend. 5th The church authorizes Brother T. HILL, Jr. where and when he shall think proper within the bounds of the church (with the aid of as many members of this church and sister churches as can conveniently attend to open the door for the reception of members. Adjourned.

The church met and after praise and prayer 1st On motion it is agreed by the church to go in to choice of a Deacon at next meeting. 2nd Received by Letter Susan MAHEN, Mary Ann GANNON and Almeda STORY. 3rd Brother T. HILL, Jr. to write a letter to the Union Church and Brethren T. HILL, T. COBB, A. SCOTT, S. BUTLER and W. LEWIS, Jr., bear the same to said church and see of same course cannot be adopted by which Thomas GANNON, Willard L. BAILY and others late members of Union Church can be received as members of this church and that report be made at next meeting. 4th Brother Samuel M. STORY presented two letters from Union Church dismissing as members in good standing Jane DOTY and Sally Ann HARDEN which were read and the sisters not being present no further action of the church was taken at this time. Adjourned.

The church met and after praise and prayer 1st The church in accordance with a vote of last meeting went into the choice of Deacon whereupon Henry COBB was chosen to that office. 2nd The brethren appointed at last meeting to visit Union Church made their report and also presented a communication from said church and after more time spent the further communication thereof dismissed until our October meeting. 3rd The clerk to prepare a letter to the next association and present it at next meeting for inspection and that brethren T. HILL, T. HILL, Jr., S.M. STORY, T. COBB, and A. SCOTT bear the same. 4th Sister Sally Ann HARDEN whose letter was read at last meeting presented herself and was recognized as a member of this church. 5th Dismissed by letter brother John WINCHESTER and Sister Margaret WINCHESTER. No other business appearing adjourned to meet the fourth Saturday of this month.

SCOTT were appointed to visit Sister Sally SAGE and Sister Ann BYCOURT and converse with them in reference to their having connected with another denomination and report at next meeting. No further business appearing adjourned.

The church met and after praise and prayer 1st Received by letter Isaac CORRELL and by experience for baptism Rachael SCOTT. 2nd The reference from the August meeting taken up and the applicants for membership not being present the further consideration thereof is continued until next meeting. 3rd The Brethren appointed at last meeting to visit Sister SAGE and Sister BYCOURT made report Sister BYCOURT came forward and gave satisfaction and Sister SAGE not being present the further action of the church in that case is referred until next meeing. 4th Agreed by the church that Brother Henry COBB on tomorrow be set apart to the office of Deacon.

The church met and after praise and prayer 1st On motion it is agreed to call Brother Thomas HILL, Jr., one fourth of his time (to wit) the first Saturday and Sunday of every month for one year. And Brother HILL being present consented to serve the church. 2nd Brethren Henry COBB and Aaron SCOTT are appointed to visit Sister Polly HOPKINS and Sister Melinda RODGERS and converse with them in reference to their having connected with another denomination and report at next meeting.
