Some families know a great deal about their roots; others know very little. This site is an attempt to record
what I've learned about our family history. In these modern times, families tend to be scattered all over the country, if
not the world.
The Finches that came here are true pioneers of this great land. The first of my ancestors landed
and settled in Watertown, Ma. Then later began the settlement of Wethersfield in Connecticut. From those
beginings they moved on to settle many areas of our counrty, often arriving as the first people there and lived
in the wilderness. They are the founders of cities and states all across the land. They lived and made American
history.
This website is an attempt to tell the story of a family that embodies the spirit of America.
In the course of doing this research, I've discovered that I have many more relatives than I ever
thought possible! If you find a connection in these pages, let me know.
