Merced, August 31.- Agustine CASTAGNETTO, an Italian, aged 65 years, was found dead in bed here about 2 o'clock this afternoon. Deceased was an early pioneer baker.

Found Dead in Bed
Augustino Castagneitti was found dead in his room on Saturday afternoon last. He was an early settler in Merced and for many years carried on a bakery. He has been sick for a considerable time, though not thought to be in immediate danger of death, and died unexpectedly during temporary absence from the room of his attendant.
