Melburn Alton Penrose, 83, of Big Oak Flat died Tuesday at Garden City Health Center, Modesto.
Mr. Penrose was a native of Jacksonville and was a lifelong resident of Big Oak Flat. He worked as a plumber for 30 years. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He enjoyed fishing and hunting.
He is survived by his children, Mel Penrose and Judy Wemmer, both of Big Oak Flat, and Jill Penrose of Jamestown; sister, Bernice Albers of Modesto; and six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marion Penrose.
No services. Terzich & Wilson Funeral Home, Sonora, in charge of arrangements.
