Funeral service for Christopher C. Crandall, 57, Merced mail carrier who died Thursday night at his home on Bear Creek drive were held at 3 this afternoon at the Welch and Griffin chapel. The Rev. David McMartin officiated. Internment was in Evergreen mausoleum.
Crandall was born in Kansas and had lived on Bear Creek drive southeast of Merced the past 17 years. He had spent 40 years in California. He is survived by the widow, Mrs. Lida Crandall, his mother, three children and a sister. Mrs. Sarah Crandall of Merced, is his mother. Children are Miss. Civilla Crandall, Miss. Bernice Crandall and Perry Crandall.
