Mrs. Dick Hamar Dies Sunday In New Mexico.
Mrs. Gussie Spicer Hamar died in the St. Anne's hospital in Truth or Consequences, New Mexico, Sunday night, May 11. Mrs. Hamar was 73 years old and she lived north of Fowler in Ford county for a number of years. She and her late husband farmed north of Fowler for several years. They moved to Truth or Consequences several years ago.
Mrs. Hamar was well known in this community and had many friends living here. She was born on April 1, 1885 in Ford County. Mr. Hamar died on April 13, 1946 and she has made her home in New Mexico since his death.
No close relatives survive. The body was brought to Dodge City by the Hulpieu-Swaim Funeral home.
Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon, May 16, at 2 o'clock. The Rev. R. W. Treder pastor of the Dodge City Episcipal church will officiate.
Interment will be in the Mable Grove cemetery in Dodge City.
