Many of the old grave markers at Livingston Chapel, Crane Hill, and New Hope cemeteries were carved by Columbus Simeon Harbison. He would use a string as a compass and carve intricate geometric patterns. His work was fairly impressive considering this was before CAD/CAM and rock drills. He did it all with a hammer and chisel.
