In Albion, Wisconsin, August 2, 1884, Martin Gates, in the 68th year of his age. He was born in Franklin county, Massachusetts, and at the age of two years his parents moved to Verona, New York. From there he came to Wisconsin in 1853. He experienced religion in the spring of 1863, and united with the Albion Seventh-day Baptist Church, of which he remained a worthy member until his death.
