I was just researching some distant relatives. You said that Edmund Fitchett had 3 wives: Mary Ann Sample, Mary Ann Potts and Mrs. Vance. Mary Ann Sample was adopted by William Potts and Ann Potts and sometimes went by the name of Mary Ann Sample Potts. She is buried with her husband Edmund Fitchett, and near her parents in Victoria Cemetery, Tweed, Ontario. Attached is a picture of her toombstone.
