Deceased Name: Vedmer 'Vee' Calvert Myers
Vedmer 'Vee' Calvert Myers, 79, of Tarrant, formerly of Curry, died Monday, June 4, 2001, at her residence. Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, June 7, 2001, in Curry Cemetery . Rev. Richard Harbin will officiate. Kilgore-Green Funeral Home will be directing.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. tonight at Kilgore-Green Chapel.
She worked for New Williams Department Store and Aland's stock room.
Myers was preceded in death by her parents, W. L. and Fannie Calvert; brother, Ferrell Calvert; and sister, Marie Calvert Motes.
She is survived by one daughter, Cheryl Phillips and her husband, Roger of Tarrant; three grandchildren, Ginger Phillips, Scarlett Phillips and Dale Phillips, all of Tarrant; one sister, Bernice Gossett of Curry; one brother, Durant Calvert and his wife, Nora Lee of Curry; and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to Unity Hospice of St. Vincent's Hospital in Birmingham.
