In Berlin, Wis., May 10, 1862, of typhoid fever, George D. Greene, son of Dea. R. T. & Joanna Greene, in the 29th year of his age, leaving a wife and one child to mourn their loss. The deceased experienced religion in youth, though, like many, neglected to comply with the ordinances of God's house, but died in hope of eternal life. The funeral discourse was preached by Eld. R. G. Burdick, of Berlin, to a crowded house of mourners and sympathizing friends, from these words - "Blessed are the dead the die in the Lord."
