The 1860 census Marshall Co., TN, shows John NIX living there; the 1870 census Obion Co.,TN, shows John living there; and the 1880 census Lake County, TN, lists John with his second wife, "Mary" living there. The 1880 census Lake County, TN, shows Elizabeth Jane residing with her oldest son, Milton Monroe NIX (b. 1854) and his family. Apparently John and Elizabeth Jane divorced in the 1870's.
