Granddaughter of Samuel Dyer and Ann Hutchinson, of William Dyer and Mary, Ann Hutchinson was the daugher of Captain Edward Dyer. (Stukely Westcott, Vol. 2, Pgs. 290-291, 1939)193

Mary Dyer was the granddaughter of Mary Barrett Dyer, the “Quaker Martyr” (1616-1660), reputedly dr of Lord Seymour and Lady Stewart (niece of King James II). Seymour family descends from Alfred the Great. She is also ggdr of Rev. Rodger Williams (THE founder of RI); and of Ann Marbury Hutchinson, a free-thinker banished from MS, descended from William the Conqueror. There is a Rodger Williams Society.536

Notes for Ezekiel Westcott, Sr.:
In 1733, his father gave him sixty acres, part of the home farm, lying west of the Pochasset river. In 1734 he sold it and removed from that part of town Providence to Scituate, RI. In 1744 he enrolled in the train band of Providence Co. He was enumerated at Scituate in the census of 1774, when his family consisted of four. (Stukely Westcott, Vol. 1, Pg. 217, 1932)
