This child, when his mother died, was taken in with his grandparents Levi and Hannah and was raised as HOWARD CHADBOURNE. In 1850 he was in their household as Howard Chadbourne, age 9. In the 1860 U S census he was in CA where two uncles were. He married, had children, and died in Humboldt Co CA. His children were Bessie, Irene, and Howard Jr.15
