Frank L. Garbarino Coulterville Native Taken By Death
Funeral services were held at Coulterville at two o'clock Monday afternoon for Frank L. Garbarino, 41, who died at the home of his mother, Mrs. Saveria Garbarino, there last Friday night following a long illness. Interment was made in the family plot at the Coulterville cemetery under the auspices of the Masonic Lodge of Livingston, of which order and lodge he was a member. Funeral
arrangements were in charge of Welch & Griffin funeral parlors in Merced.
Frank Garbarino was born at the old historic town of Coulterville, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Angelo Garbarino, pioneer settlers. He spent all of his early life there and was married to a Coulterville girl, the former Miss Sarah Tiscornia.
Frank was well and favorably known throughout the county. He was kind-hearted and always had a hearty handclasp and a pleasant smile for everyone. In spite of his illness, which has extended over a period of years, he tried to be happy and good natured.
He was an electrician by trade and had been in the employ of the San Joaquin Light and Power Company for many years, the last few years he had been in charge of the office of the power company at Livingston. A month ago he went to his mother's home in Coulterville, due to his failing health.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Sarah Garbarino; a daughter, Lois; his mother, two brothers, Joseph of Yosemite and Eugene of Coulterville; five sisters, Mrs. Rose Martin of Modesto; Mrs. Annie Shoobert of Okland, Mrs. Josephine Dagg of Burlingame, Mrs. Laurline Miller of San Francisco and Miss Una Garbarino of San Francisco.

A marriage license was issued in Fresno Wednesday to Frank L. GARBARINO
and Miss Sarah TISCORNIA, both of Coulterville.

GARBARINO-TISCORNIA September 7, 1912, Mariposa Gazette:
A romance which had its beginning in school days happy time was culimated recently when Frank J. GARBARINO and Miss Sarah TISCORNIA, both of Coulterville, were united in marriage in Fresno. The young people were school boy and girl lovers while yet the present bride wore her hair in braids and pinafore of girlish length. From that time each seemed clearlydestined for the other- affinities in the highest use of the term. With such a beggining it is easily predicted that a happy life in the matrimonial bark, lies before them- which is as well, the wish of their many friends. The bride is the only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Victor TISCORNIA and is a young lady of whom we could not say enough in praise in such limited space. Beautiful, lovable, kind and good are wordswhich somewhat describe her charms. Where sikness or sorrow lurks there you will find her, soothing in that artless way that only the young know how- the pain racked body or the aching heart. Among her companions she wielded a happy influence banishing care by the sunny temperment which was ever with her- and thus became a favorite even beyond her imediate circle of friends. The groom is the second son of Mr. and Mrs. A. GARBARINO and is a young man of worthy qualities. Like his bride he is a native of Coulterville where a large part of his life has been spent. He is a bright, steady, sober young man with a promising future before him. He is twenty two years of age and his bride just eighteen. May the clouds of life never darken their path- and the happiness of youth follow their footsteps throughout their journey.
