Notes for Mary Elizabeth (Spouse 1)
Mary married her first cousin Alexander Fitchett, son of Joseph Fitchett & Wealthy Bond. Mary had the care of both her mother Catherine and her blind sister Eliza Smith, who was very proud of her ability to peel apples perfectly to be dried and sold, although sightless for over 30 years. Eliza died in 1919, over, 90 years old. After the death of Alexander Fitchett, the farm was sold to William Holbert, youngest son of Robert. Will and his sisters Sarah Jane, and Ethel, lived there until they died. Sarah Jane enjoyed playing the auto harp.25
