Notes for Allan GOULD
Allan was born in Albert Municipality (Section 22-5-26) on August 18th, 1920 and lived all of his life in the community with the exception of four and one-half years spent in the Royal Canadian Air Force. He was married on October 14, 1948 to Shirley Brigden of Napinka. Allan was involved with many community activities, hall, rink, sports, etc. and 4-H projects in the district. He served two terms as councilor of Albert Municipality and was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion. His hobbies included many hours of hunting and fishing. He had an outstanding collection of arrowheads and had a fondness of birds and bird calls. Allan died in Edmonton while visiting his daughter Nancy. He suffered an aneurysm and died in hospital on June 25, 1980 - age 59.
The funeral was held from Zion United Church, Napinka, June 28, 1980 with Rev. Clark Saunders in charge.600
