Text of obituary, newspaper unknown:

Mary C. Williams

Mary Cook was born in the state of Maryland on Nov. 23, 1817. The family moved to Indiana and then she was married to Mr. Hutchens. To this union there were born seven children, two of whom died in infancy. The others are still living. Mr. Hutchens moved with his family to Iowa in 1850 and located on the farm south of Waukee where she made her home until the time of her death. Mr. Hutchens died in January, 1857. She was again married in the spring of 1865 to Mr. D. Williams, who lived but six months. Mrs. Williams died at her hoe on the last of January, 1905, at the age of nearly four score years and town. The funeral was held in M. E. Church in Booneville, Feb. 3, 1905, conducted by Rev. Caldwell. Grandma Williams was a good mother and neighbor. She was confined to her home for years, but those who knew her longest speak very highly of her. She was converted and joined the M. E. church in early life, and lived and died in the faith. (signed) J. W. C.

In the 1900 census she was living with her son, Frances M. Hutchens in Boone Township, Dallas Co., along with her daughter Mary E. Hutchens ..."
