MR. AND MRS. NORMAN FITCHETT celebrated their Golden Wedding anniversary February 23. The bride is the former Effie Pearl Baldwin and Mr. Fitchett went by horse and cutter through snowfilled roads to be married at the Bay Parsonage by Rev. C. DeMille. They have lived all th& lives at Hay Bay, where Mr. Fitchett farmed until a few years ago.

MR. AND MRS. FITCHETT spent the day quietly due to Mrs. Fitchett's health, but Mr. Fitchett, as is his usual custom, took his bride out for dinner. Several neighbors called with gifts and flowers in the afternoon. The family spent the evening with their parents and presented them with a gift and flowers, after which a bountiful lunch was served, along with a three-tiered wedding cake. Mr. and Mrs. Fitchett have two sons, four daughters, 11 grandchi1dren and three great-grandchildren.25
