1880 census: Ellis Co., TX (see daughter Fanny's notes)

After leaving Missouri Samuel lived in Ellis Co. Texas.
In 1880 census they were in Ellis Co. Texas and Mary Catherine was 15 and the census says she was born in Tennessee and Fanny was said to be born in Arkansas. Samuel and Amanda perhaps were buried in Wise Co. Texas.

On the 1870 census says the boys and Fanny were born in Arkansas and that “Kate” was born in Missouri.
On the 1880 census it says their mother was born in Arkansas and dad in Tennessee.

Amanda Wright Schultz was Samuel's second wife - she had a daughter Susan Elizabeth by her first husband.

In a family Bible of Amanda's she lists the following:
William M. Harbison - born 26 June 1856
Lewis Matthew Harbison - born 24 Aug 1859
Frances Ann Harbison - born 16 Mar 1861
Mary Catherine Harbison - born 29 July 1864
