Lena Margaret Lertora-Cassaretto, 96, of Groveland died Sunday at her home.
Mrs. Cassaretto was a native of Chinese Camp. She lived in Tuolumne County all her life. She worked for the Tuolumne County clerk and later the district attorney's office. She was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, Big Oak Flat, for more than 60 years. She also was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies' Auxiliary, Southern Tuolumne County Historical Society, Groveland Home Makers, Tuolumne County Farm Bureau, Figli D' Italia and a charter member of Groveland Community Services District.
She is survived by her children, Janice Hagopian of Modesto and Leonard Cassaretto of Groveland; and five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
A Mass will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, Big Oak Flat. Burial at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church. Terzich & Wilson Funeral Home, Sonora, in charge of arrangements.
