BIO:
Rough Creek Cem. in Laurel Co. has a grave, evidently near to that of Julia's husband Henry OVERBEY, which is inscribed with, "Infant twins of Julia and Henry; 1903." It appears that Julia was pregnant with these twins at the time of Henry's death, Dec., 1902.
There is some confusion in that the OVERBEY's household shows two "James A."s in 1900; the first may be a stepson to Henry, but the boy is 14 years of age, and the OVERBYs report that they have been married 19 years.
Compiler did not have the identity of Julia Ann's parents until April, 2000, when a Parman Message Board (electronic) showed a message dated 25 March 2000 from Ray Sturgill was discovered on <wwwFamilyHistory.com>. The contents of this message appear below:

Julia Ann Parman was born October 13, 1861 in Laurel Co. Ky. and
was the daughter of Alexander Parman and Mahala Jackson.
She married William Henry Overbey (the spelling used here) on
December 21, 1881 in Laurel Co. He was born April 1860 and
was the son of J. Smith Overbey and America Jackson. He
died December 14, 1902 and was buried in the Old Rough Creek
Cemetery in Laurel Co. Julia remarried on January 2, 1906 in
Laurel Co. to Jacob C. Hampton. He was born c. 1843 and was the
son of James and May Hampton. He died September 10, 1918
and was buried in the Old Rough Creek Cemetery, Laurel County,
KY also. The date I have for Julia's death is August 21, 1936 in
Hamilton, Ohio. The children I have for her are: Delora Ellen
Overbey..born June 1882; Humphrey Overbey..born June 3, 1885;
Jefferson S. Overbey..born September 9, 1887; Lucinda Julia
Overbey..born March 7, 1891; Ida Overbey..born October 11, 1896;
Leota Overbey..born December 1898; twins were born and died
in 1903 and were also buried in Old Rough Creek Cemetery in
Laurel Co. There is some evidence there may have also been
another child who died as an infant but nothing is known of it. ...

Mary T. Jones' Application for Widow's Pension (date of filing unknown),
states that Julia, still a minor child of Alexander Parman, dec'd, had filed a dependant child's pension application which was still pending at the time Mary filed hers.

In March, 2001, compiler received an e-mail contact from Kathy Overbay Kinsey (e-mail address: Pattie2154@@aol.com). Kathy is the great grand daughter of Julia Parman Overbay Hampton. Kathy lives in the area where Julia died and knows of her burial. Kathy writes as follows:

Julia Parman Overbey/Overbay is my great grandmother. Her
grave is about 12 miles from my house here in Ohio. My father
(her grandson) is 80 years old and still alive. He had a grave
stone put on her grave last Memorial Day 2000...It is located at
Twin Creek Cemetery, West Manchester, Ohio. Julia died when
my father was about 16 or 18. He remembers her real well. She
lived here in Ohio with her son, my grandfather Jackson Overbay,
at the time of her death. They did not have the money to have
body taken back to be buried with William Henry Overbey (her
first husband) and Jacob Hampton (her second husband).
William Henry Overbey and Jacob Hampton are both buried
in Old Rough Creek Cemetery, Laurel County, KY, Laurel County, Kentucky.
The twins are also buried there...
